Motor and ecu especially, from this wat I heard from the local ptw/ptw clones users motor and ecu is the first to fail.

Had a word with guys from Gunfire, and they said that they will have it "soon", but no specific date was given .

I was still thinking that is a mistake, but ehobby did a magnet test in the video... body is plastic. On a gun priced on 350 bucks... Like for real?!

Hop up adjustment in the ejection port=aeg style m4 hop up chamber? Shame it has a plastic body thou.

How are your slides holding up? Any more reports of breaking in the ejection port?

I used to sqeeze a full mag on full auto using Coleman propane. The stock internals are very weak, so sooner or later you will have to upgrade to rat steel parts (which are not worth the price asked).

That is an easy thing to replace with newer systema design . Taiwangun will have these in a month and half approx.

Thnx for the vid. If you could provide some more insight into the systema ecu mod, that would be great. Phoned Taiwangun today, if something is not on the website, it's not in stock, so all A&K TW seems to be sold out atm (the guy was not 100% sure). The next batch is to be delivered within month and half, more less. And BTW, anyone found A&K TW in any other shop?

I hope you're not right, as I intend to get one myself. Gonna get the topic sorted out tomorrow, and will post whatever news I get.

Taiwangun website got glitches sometimes, and I'm almost sure, that it is glitching right now. During easter, when the A&K TW also was missing on the site I dropped TG an email regarding this matter, they were kinda surprised, and were to investigate. I'll call them tomorrow during working hours to get some info on the topic.

interesting thing regarding A&K PTW mosfet and systema replacement.Maaan, I'm so confused right now, should I go A&K or DTW. On one hand if I get A&K I would have 12 month guarantee (as Taiwangun is my local retailer), on the other the DTW seems less problematic.

Inq Eisenhorn did the bolt stop in your DTW worked fine out of the box?

AFAIK WE is working on a katana system Scar. Matter of electronic parts to make it TW style.

I used to run a 2007 Systema PTW and motor in the one I had was failing badly. The posts are from 2012, so I'm not sure if the A&K TW sold now are of the same batch. As soon as I get rid one of mine gbbrs I'm gonna check the A&K TW from my local retailer. @Inq Eisenhorn I think that it would go the same as AEG market-there are many acm aeg available, but people still buy G&P, VFC or Avalon guns.

Read it on other board that A&K motor is said to be quite faulty (due that is 2007 PTW clone). I wonder how's the hop up, and what mags fits and feeds.

I must strongly agree with Inq Eisenhorn-cleaning the topic from all what's not DTW related would be a good ideam but why closing it?

Got some more questions regarding this platform. Anyone checked if Vanaras outer barrel fit? What with Vanaras magazines? In the review the mix of Systema shell and Vanaras inner worked, but maybe someone can confirm if the complete Vanaras mag fit nad feed. And last, but not least, what spring you guys estimate will be the strongest you can put in DTW? I was thinking to use it as both the assault and DMR, since you just have to switch cylinders to adjust the gun power, and that can be done on the fly on the field.

I think we got a small misunderstanding here. I (and I think you too) play airsoft to have fun. And fun it is, but for me firing an AK at the range beats airsoft in terms of having fun. So if I was to choose between fun (Systema PTW) and even more fun (real steel AK) I would choose more fun . Systema PTW is a great piece of gear. The feeling, the trigger response, the bolt stop feature-that is all great, but a bit too expensive for my taste.

Looking at Systema PTW prices I'd rather grab myself a real steel gun .
