  2. Personally I'd go with a 6.01inner barrel, for me I saw a difference with the 6.03. I don't think the 650mm will fit even with suppressor, or just barely. I'm running a 460mm if I remember right and I'm just short of the end of the outer. Which 51T flash hider are you going for? The M.I.T.E.R or the Ratchet? Either way I don't think a 650mm will work. The MITER's threads are about in the middle of the flash hider so you're losing a few cm's off the bat. I could be wrong though about the length
  3. is it 350fps with .2's? In Korea the gentlemans agreement is 350fps w/.25's for DMR/SPR semi only, 375fps w/.36's for bolt guns. Since Airsoft is more renegade here the host teams determine whether snipers/DMRs/LMGs(350fps w/.2s)/MGs are allowed the DMR fps gives just enough justification to carry around a limited weapon The 18" barrel will definitely perform better if you put a tightbore inside. I've been using a 460mm 6.01 for a while and it makes a huge difference. Only now I don't have to run the suppressor because the outer barrel is actually longer than the inner. Definitely wort
  4. Not bad with the standard length hand guard. Updates soon as the SPR hand guard arrives in two days. Need to decide on a flash hider/comp. really disappointed that they changed the thread direction
  5. I'll take a picture later today when my barrel arrives. My SPR hand guard is still in transit. I'm curious myself to see it
  6. For some reason I can't seem to edit my previous post. Scope has arrived, better rings/mount still to come

    DMRs

The PRS stock finally. Can't wait for the DMR handguard and barrel, hopefully in 2012
  8. Got my PRS today. Definitely solid piece of hardware. adjustment knobs for cheek rest and butt plate won't be moving accidentally. Only issue so far is that there are a couple small gaps along the seam on the bottom and QD mount doesn't like my mil-spec QD. Very heavy, solid, three sling mount options. Wish it had a monopod. ACOG is a temp, M3 Leupold replica is on way. Magnified optics are a limited selection in Korea, working on getting a 1-4x scope in somehow though. Very cool, can't wait for the barrel and longer handguard come out. Looking forward to field testing it. Suppressor is
  9. Took some work with a hacksaw and a file. If I had access to an angle grinder, maybe 10 minutes of work total, but by hand about 30. If I was stateside I would've tried to source extra parts so I could go back to the stock set-up. But as it is, I'm stuck with the decision I've made. Surefire mags are available at any Echo1 dealer. Got mine at Airsoftgi, buddy got his from Evike. Not bad for a unique looking mag.
  10. Fugly, is more of an understatement. PEQ is necessary to fit my battery. AFG, still undecided whether it'll stay. Far from the prettiest gun, but unique. LMG-wanna-be. But, just like my mom always told me I was the best looking kid in my cl*albatross*, I do find it appealing visually on occasion. Only one outing but a whole lotta WTF looks hahaha As Popeye once said, "I y'am what I y'am!" One day she'll look more stock with the stock bipod. One day
  11. Apparently I'm anything but a traditionalist. My ICS L86, maybe 80% finished. Trying to be different, still working on getting the stock bipod and barrel supports on there. Unfortunately the right tools aren't so accessible in Korea, well at least in my apartment. Took 4 months, 5 packages, 1 customs rejection, and an idiot at USPS putting one package on a boat instead of in a plane to get all the parts into Korea so I'm just happy to actually have all the parts, ha ha.
  12. To quote Top Gun, "thats a negatory Ghost Rider, the pattern is full." and on the that note, removed the again bolts and the RIS isn't moving. I'll try the swinging around tonight when I get a chance. I got a killer deal on the trade to get this Recce. Ridiculous is almost an understatement. First trouble sign should've been the glued panels. Leftover glue residue looks real sexy with my ladders on the RIS now.
  13. Yeah. The my other Daniel Defense rail comes off real easy but this one seems to be fused on in some stupid way. I'm suspicious since the first owner or the shop he had work on the gun glued the stupid rail covers on. I'll give it another shot. Hopefully, third times the charm.
  14. hard to see in the first picture, but the barrel nut is pretty tough to access. anyway, the bigger issue is that the main section of the RIS won't come off the gun when I remove the 6 bolts, the rail system won't come off the bolt system plate. So I can't even get access to the barrel nut. Anyone else have this issue? RIS won't budge. I'm the second owner, but first owner never did anything to the RIS from the factory, least he hasn't told me. Any help, suggestions?
  15. Found the one on the PTS website myself, but missed the Tokyo Model one. Guess I ought to pay more attention to the slideshows! Thanks! Gives me a lot of hope when I actually see it on a stores site!
  16. which stores are advertising? my google-fu has been weak lately
  17. My guy has pretty much every type of wrench commercially available, nothing would fit in the DD lite rail, his claim was its a Marui proprietary wrench thats needed. It's definitely not a common set-up inside the rail. I need to shoot a pic in the morning. I've got another place I'm thinking bout hitting up, good reliable gun smiths are few and far between in Korea. My regular guy is the best I've found so far. Then again, he hates Marui EBB's haha.
  18. A question more for RECCE owners. I was about to swap out my RIS this weekend when my tech noticed/remembered that Marui used a proprietary barrel nut that won't even allow the RIS to be removed. Anyone have advice on how to remove the thing? I'm not a fan of the RIS, was planning to swtich to either a URX or mk18 RIS. My tech's previous encounter with a recce resulted in cutting the RIS off at the customers request.
  19. Question for people who have experience with the Echigoya Surus kit. I'm debating on going hardcore on the upgrades but curious about whether the stock receiver will have any trouble withstanding the recoil stress. Anyone have trouble or cracking in their receiver with Surus use?
  20. solid, looks like I'll make an echigoya order sooner than later!
  21. Question for the better informed, as far as compatibility goes for gearbox internals can anyone confirm what SCAR-L parts can be used in the H? I'm assuming gear set is a no brainer, but piston, piston head, etc... Much appreciated, this will help me greatly in making my decision to pick one up since they're finally becoming available in Korea
  22. Thanks guys! Guess I should've gotten more details from my friend when he installed his RIS. He said he ordered an adaptor from Echigoya, but if its just a spacer then I should be good to go!
