  1. RDX have a subscribe-for-updates option on their website, which answers a few questions. Their most recent e-mail (abridged, emphasis mine) reads:

RDX is working diligently to get the B.O.S.S. unit into your hands. The past several weeks have been spent liaising with distributors and logistics companies, and wrapping up the manufacturing processes.

Our primary challenge currently revolves around minimizing shipping and manufacturing costs—a task that's become increasingly complex amidst the ongoing global issues.

As this is our initial manufacturing build, we're looking at a cost estimate between $650USD and $750USD.

Gotta say I think $650-750 is ambitious for a weapon accessory; it may well be reflective of what they cost to bring to market, but I'm not sure the market will support it. The only kinds of weapon accessories that cost that kind of money (that I can think of) are infrared devices that have clear utility to/are mandatory tools for people playing under NODs, a broad resale market and strong resale values. I'm not sure that this thing is non-optional for anyone, and for the really hardcore spenders advertising your position like this would probably be a negative rather than a positive.

For sale is a PM Airsoft AK magazine adapter for the Odin Innovations M12 Sidewinder speedloader, and other speedloaders designed for AR-pattern AEG magazines. This clicks in to the Sidewinder's magazine well and has a recess for the lever's knob, so that the loader can still be put into the stowed position. This adapter is confirmed to fit LCT and E&L magazines, and should fit all Marui-pattern AK AEG magazines.

For sale is a Code Red Battle Zero Tactical Bone Conduction Headset, with PTT puck and MRC (K-type) cord for Kenwood and -style (e.g. Baofeng) two-pin radios. This headset sits behind your ears, and receives and transmits sound through vibrations in your skull. Unlike traditional in- or over-ear earphones which block direct hearing - reducing your situational awareness - this leaves your ears unaffected.

This headset works as new, and has been worn twice; I just can't persuade my teammates to use radios. Shipping is available, including internationally, at the buyer's cost. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

For sale is a Real Sword SVD V2, serial number RS004737. This rifle is in near-mint condition, with the only marks being some wear to the finish around the end of the flash hider (from attaching and detaching the suppressor) and the front sling loop (from the sling attachment clip). Given that Real Sword are now defunct, this rifle - which has been in its box for essentially its entire life, since I am its only owner - may well be the best-preserved RS SVD in the world. The Real Sword SVD was unique in being largely built from forgings and furniture made by Chinese state arsenal Norinco, and is generally considered one of the best-made airsoft guns of all time. This V2 version is fitted with an improved gearbox including the previously optional release lever to clear lock-ups.

    OG3lDIW.jpg

The rifle has been professionally upgraded with an AirLab high-current MOSFET, an AirLab RealSword SVD 70D sorbothane pad, a PDI 260% spring and Lonex A2 Titan high-torque short-shaft motor, and has been reshimmed with Lonex stainless-steel shims. I estimate fewer than 750rds through the rifle in total. When last fired it chronographed at about 475FPS with a 0.20g BB.

    IZpGC58.jpg

    It is accompanied by:

    • Three genuine Real Sword steel 96rd midcap magazines, all in mint condition.
    • The Real Sword accessories, including sight adjustment tool, maintenance multitool, collapsible steel barrel cleaning rod, unjamming rod, manual and certificate of authenticity. Also included is the original box, which was unfortunately badly damaged by Border Force; other than the box everything is in mint condition.
    • The correct Real Sword quick-detach illuminated PSO-1M2 (ПСО-1M2) scope, serial number RS01649. This is an extremely high-quality scope thought to be made for Real Sword by BelOmo, and has absolutely nothing in common with the terrible ACM replicas. The scope is in absolutely mint condition, and is accompanied by its storage pouch, adjustment tools, two spare bulbs, the correct battery (2L76, also known as CR1/3N or CR11108), two rubber eye cups, and front and rear rubber lens protectors.
    • RGW steel quick-detach stabilised S-1 SVD bipod, which is vastly improved over the terrible Prodiz SDA-C101 (which is much more common in airsoft). This has two-position extendable legs, and extendable spikes for using on soft surfaces.
    • RGW solid aluminium quick-detach TGP-V SVD suppressor.
    • Two spare genuine Real Sword pistons.
    • A genuine spare Real Sword gear set.
    • A surplus Soviet SVD drop case.
    • A surplus Soviet AK-74 sling.
    • Three Turnigy Nano Tech 1400mah 3S 15~25C 11.1v LiPo batteries.

    Qs9oTGm.jpg

    Kl0Rj7Q.jpg

It is not accompanied by the Real Sword quick-detach cheek pad (thanks, Border Force). Surplus Soviet replacements are available online for approximately £75; alternatively LCT's SV-005 is readily purchased for less than £40.

How is the fitment of the Guarder frame to the SureFire 332/632? I've hard that it is far worse than the PGC/ProWin kits, but I've never had any experience with either kit.

The PGC/ProWin trigger guard isn't quite the right shape, so my own P114C sat very crooked:

    zqdWl9y.jpg

A custom backplate (the bit that goes inside the trigger guard) for the rail adapter made by @blobface made a huge difference with no modification of the frame or the light.

Some of the issue (I'm sure it severely exacerbated the issue) is the wraparound grips pushing the rigid tape switch assembly forward. I think the only thing that would let the light sit perfectly flat would be to cut out the section of the grip that is clashing with the switch.

@PureSilver I might just have a spare one of those in my collection.

I can't find one on eBay now (I guess it took me too long to see this message) but do PM me if you decide to part with your spare!

  8. Sixth: Mafioso Kimber TLE II.

    1. CowCow RM1 adjustable recoil guide.
    2. VFC VLight with custom Mafioso slide catch.
    3. Maple Leaf hop-up rubber and stainless steel inner barrel.

The pistol alone was $1,300ish. I'll be working on a better LED upgrade for the utterly pants VFC TIR lens and LED.

  9. Fifth: TM P226 E2.

    1. PGC P226 frame, slide and grip inserts.
    2. Prime 14mm CCW threaded outer barrel and faux firing pin.
    3. Guarder steel spring guide, 150% recoil spring, steel sights, takedown lever, trigger, magazine release, decocker, slide catch and grip screws.
    4. Hogue Overmould grips.
    5. UAC lightweight BBU.
    6. SureFire Nitrolon P114-C with MR04 rail adapter.
    7. Lumens Factory P60 drop-in.
    8. @blobface MR04 adapter for PGC trigger guard.
    9. Madbull Gemtech Trinity.

This thing is smoother than buttered Casanova on ice, and I haven't sold it even though I only buy steel pistols these days.

  10. Fourth: TM Glock 34.

    1. Guarder steel slide and outer barrel, sights, guide rod, 150% recoil spring, magazine release, stainless steel inner barrel and Complete New Generation frame with PTW362 serial number plate.
    2. Guns Modify steel hop-up unit.
    3. Maple Leaf hop-up rubber.
    4. Volante Airsoft Stratos telescopic BBU.

The release of Guarder's New Generation frames somewhat reduces the price (and massively reduces the annoyance) of building a full Guarder Glock. I bought the gun used with an old-style full Guarder lower, which reduced the price I paid quite a lot, but this is still comfortably in excess of $1,000.

  11. Third: KSC Mk.23 SOCOM System 7.

    1. Mafioso Airsoft steel slide and outer barrel.
    2. Volante Airsoft ‘Aurora’ high-volume BBU with CNC. This has a steel housing and aluminium nozzle, both CNC-milled.
    3. RA Tech 150% recoil spring.
    4. G&P welded steel KAC OHWS suppressor with full trademarks, rethreaded 14mm CCW.
    5. Custom-made Mk.23 MIL-SPEC-1913/’Picatinny’ rail adaptor, CNC-milled from billet aluminium. Fits over the nonstandard HK rail and screws into the front of the trigger guard.
    6. Clone SureFire X300V.

This was actually not as horrifically expensive as other steel pistols I've owned, but it was still substantially more than $1,200. Sold for about a 50% loss.

  12. Second: GHK AUG A2 (OD).

    1. Hephaestus 16" steel outer barrel, cut down to the front of the gas block and threaded 14mm CCW and steel valve knocker.
    2. Best Gun steel A1 18" barrel extension and flash hider.
    3. Hexagon Production steel HBAR 20" barrel extension, bipod and flash hider. Rethreaded 14mm CCW.
    4. GHK steel gas block, CO2 magazine outlet valves (x6) for DevilHunter conversion, A3 rail.
    5. DevilHunter aluminium magazine feed lips (x6).
    6. Maple Leaf bucking, nub and stainless steel inner barrel.
    7. GBL Black Widow hop-up chamber.
    8. FG Airsoft adjustable nozzle and A2 rail.

I haven't added the price of this up but to put it into context, the magazines from GHK are about $60, the outlet valves are $20 and the DevilHunter feed lips are about $20. Each.

  13. Oof, I didn't know this thread existed. Everyone glance at the absolute catastrophe that is my purchasing decisions.

    First up: Inokatsu P226R.

    1. P226-02 upgrade kit, with steel trigger, hammer, magazine release, magazine release cover, and unique takedown lever (omitting the unrealistic push-to-safe feature Japanese law forces on TM models).
    2. Guarder steel decocking lever, slide release and guide rod, 150% recoil spring, piston and nozzle assembly.
    3. Nine Ball hop-up rubber, piston head and 6.03x97mm stainless steel inner barrel.
    4. Prime steel faux firing pin.
    5. Genuine SIG Sauer mainspring seat and Hogue Extreme Series aluminium grips.

I spent somewhere about $1,800 on this pistol. If you have ever loved me, please do not ask what I sold it for.
