ChronicDK
Hello The team I am on are on the lookout for a set of PRM radios, but since we are somewhat inexperiened in that category, I would like your advice! What we would like from a PRM radio is a nice crispy connection, of course and quality! Earpiece is not necessary, we can always buy that on the side... Please, give me your opinion! FastWinston
do you mean a PMR radio, for the 446 band? Cobra is the way to go:)
nilz
Look for a model with 38 CTSS codes (subchannels). Cobra MT550C offer this. They are pretty cheap, you get a pair with rechargeable batteries and a charger for the price of a Motorola Talkabout. However, as I found out, they are not very water resistant. You have to either pack them up in something or put them somewhere water can't get to them.
FastWinston
you don't realy need CTSS codes as you can get on with out them, but i guess they can be handy:) I pack my radio in a waterproof bag so it doesen't get wet
nilz
You don't *have* to have them, but it ensures compatibility with almost anybody else using PMR radios.
