FPS and BB compatibility

Recommended Posts

Types of BBs that are recommended at different FPS levels

RESULTS WILL VARY RIFLE TO RIFLE AND DEPENDING ON CONDITIONS

the heavier the BB used, the more accurate it is likely to be , depending on BB quality, but range may decrease. Also the heavier the BB the more resistance to wind.

280-300fps

a high quality .25 or .23 BB

300-350fps

a high quality ,.25 .28, .29*or .30 BB is reccomended for these fps levels, depending on what your rifle performs with.

*the SGM .29s are considered by many to be the best quality BB available, maybe the price and the low stock levels reflects this

disclaimer - keep in mind that many things make the performance of each weight varies in different rifles and conditions, I can not be held responsible for poor performance from each BB.

Again, any specific discussion regarding a particular brand of ammo, or queries relating to ammo, please refer to the BB comparison thread.
