Wupjak Posted November 30, 2008 Report Share Posted November 30, 2008 All, Own a CA SA58 which uses the G3 type hop unit. The CA hop unit is a glorified, pot metal turd. The barrel retention clip is not built to spec. The inner can rotate about 10-15 degrees and move forward and back about 1mm. NOT good. Less importantly (but no less irritatingly), the Hop dial dances around with the vibration/shock of each cycle of the mechbox. As you have gathered, I'm not pleased with that. Any of our gentle readers have a line on a QUALITY aftermarket part that I might bin the embarassment that is taking up space in my AEG at present? Thanks in advance. Rob15 Posted November 30, 2008 Report Share Posted November 30, 2008 The only really decent G3 hopup unit at the moment is, suprise suprise the TM original one. my CA G3 hopup unit was the worst and most useless thing ever, replaced it with a spare TM i had about and it was all good again =D Cobra airsoft and ehobby both have them last time i looked.
