darkchild130
As the title suggests i have a couple of questions regarding the classic army CA 53 as im considering buying one. 1: Is there a specific RIS kit for a CA53 or will it fit an MP5 RIS? 2: What's the internal barrel length? I loved this weapon in Northern Ireland, thought i should buy one as they are not common at all! answers are appreciated. Darkchild
Handsome Pete
Had one recently and just sold it. I believe the forgrip is shorter than that on the real steel (which is the same as an MP5?) because CA couldn't be arsed to make a seperate extended barrel and cocking lever tube. (anyone correct me if I'm mistaken). Believe the barrel length to be about 220mm. Found it to be a nice build, studry, solid and seem to fire fine (much like their MP5's). Cheers. P.S: If you do order it from the UK, fire support have them for 200 (though out of stock, I was told they would order one in).
darkchild130
Thanks, ive already recce'd where to buy one. Looks like it will get my old MP5 RIS on it then. Darkchild
Handsome Pete
Re-read what I wrote and confused myself. Just to clarify I meant the real steel 53 is the same as the MP5, the CA53 has a shorter grip so MP5 RIS may not fit (but I may be wrong). If you're after Mid caps I have a few Cheers. darkchild130
Just so im following what you're saying, CA have just made a larger mag well without extending the barrel, which would mean the foregrip is shorter? Darkchild
Handsome Pete
Yes, thats what I was trying to say (need to lay off the gin). I read it somewhere once I bought mine and then compared pictures of the CA53 with that of a CA MP5 and the forgrip did appear smaller.
