Question about the Army reserves

So right now, I was offered a position as a 68W (medic) in the Army reserves, possibly a 3 year contract with not as many bonuses as a 6 year contract (obviously). If I deploy, I would deploy to a hospital because I would be part of a medical unit, not active combat duty, which is fine by me. What I am wondering is this; can the Army pull some **** on you that isn't in your contract? I.E., can they put you into active duty from reserves without your consent, is stop-loss (involuntary extension of duty) going to be likely, etc.? It sounds like a good opportunity for me now, as I would like to continue my education with a master's and get some good experience and part time on the side, but I don't want to join and then suddenly find I am in for longer than I signed up for.
