FUmiYAsu
This is probably a stupid question,...but how do you remove those metal "ramps" tht holds the front sight in place? thx
Vincent
Well, not a stupid question if you dont just know how to remove it But really it should just be attached with some six angle screws or something like that. Get them out and just try to move the front sight forward towards the end of the barrel. ( i really dunno if that "six angle screw" is the real name for them )
Russ
They are pins, tap them out with a screwdriver or a pin punch and a hammer. There is also an allan key screw on the bottom of the front sight that will need loosening before you can remove it
ClevelandSteamer
If this is on your ICS, you will find 2 rolled pins 1 each at the bottom of each leg in the tower. 2 more pins on the sling mount. Simply grab a small screw driver, allen(hex) key, or anything small enough to bang the pins through. After removing the pins it will slide off.
FUmiYAsu
Thanks....it;s the ics one ....I forgot to mention... I was trying to hammer it out but it didn't respond with light hammering so I through I better check whether it is right before giving it the force....
Antagon
DO NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER. You WILL get them jammed and mushroom the head of the pin. Go out and pick up a set of punches, theyll save you a lot of headaches.
