FireKnife Posted October 9, 2014 Report Share Posted October 9, 2014 Well I like Oscar-bait season as that means you do get some genuinely good films that are often nominated but don't win along with the usual thing from the likes of Spielberg or Scorsese that can sometimes be good. Saying that this could also just be riding on the success of Lone Survivor etc. Though if they were going to do a film about a famous US sniper I would have thought the White Feather would have been better as a historical piece (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlos_Hathcock). Or perhaps a film of the White Death (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simo_H%C3%A4yh%C3%A4) now that would make for a interesting piece of cinema if done well given how much a legend that guy was in the Winter War against the Ruskies.
