Hello, I'm new to airsoft and hoping to play regularly. I was into paintball a few years ago but stopped going because the paint was costing a fortune!

I live in York and am planning to go to humer Airsoft and Northern Airsoft alliance sites this month for my first games.

Please stop me from spending all my money.

I was born and raised in Hartlepool! Since moving to York nearly all the friends I've made are from Durham, Newcastle, Hartlepool or Middlesbrough haha, very odd!
I'll check those sites out.

While I have your attention could you give me some more info?? I'm wondering if there are any "specialist" sites I should know about. Ones where they do different types of games like "murder" (where a handful of you are assigned roles and then try to stab each other in the back or survive), indoor sites etc? I don't want to get stuck playing the same thing over and over :)

Well NAA are a small, but mixed terrain Site, with bunkers.

There's The Stan at Sheffield which is a CQB site set in an old factory.

Centurion Driffield is more open, with rivers & even the use of boats, from what I've seen.

There's also Stirling Airsoft at Catterick that do full weekend games in an urban environment on the Garrison.

There's others, but at work atm. Feel free to Pm me if you need any info.

Cheers.

Back on topic I can recommend the Sterling Games at Catterick, there not quite full on MIlsim but certainly more Milsim than your regular catch the flag style half hour games.  Might enjoy it more if you get a bit of experience first and go with some mates.
