evilrobotshane
Yesterday, my G&G F2000 (Mister Splashy Pants) started misfeeding on all magazines, the workaround being to shove and hold the magazine further up into the magwell. I opened her up when I got home and found that the cradle where the pivot point on the mag catch sits has broken, so it isn't holding the mag catch as high up as it needs to be. I have a few bad ideas about how to fix it, but no good ones. An essential part of a gun's plastic body breaks no isn't too uncommon in airsoft though, so I figured somebody might have some pointers on how to get it working again. DarkLite
JB weld is my usual go to.
evilrobotshane
Cool thanks! That's a 2-part epoxy resin, right? Reckon it's any better for the job than other brands?
DarkLite
It is, yes. Steel powder mixed into the epoxy, so it tends to set a lot harder and in my experience, lasts a lot longer than most of the other stuff out there. Had a friend use it to repair a cracked cylinder on his motorbike engine, held up fine for the rest of the month til his next payday.
evilrobotshane
Excellent, cheers for that. Got some on the way. I'll try rebuilding the pivot cradle to some extent.
