lazareth1
Hey chaps! I've got an Army R85 and it's got me puzzled. The rifle has stopped cycling and I've stripped it down but don't see anything wrong. If I take the motor and cage off the box then I can finger spin the gears just fine. But as as soon as I put the motor on then it's really really tough to cycle and won't budge when hooking it up to the battery. I've tried adjusting the motor height but nada. Also tried changing the motor and same problem. My testing so far is without the top compression section of the gearbox off. It was cycling just fine but has suddenly stopped, has anyone else seen this and know what's going on?
lazareth1
No one has any ideas? 😔
Wingmann
If you haven't changed anything, then something has to be wrong with the gears themselves. Maybe there's a broken tooth somewhere, probably on the bevel gear. Take them out and inspect them throughly.
