Arnie
Had a look, and the mechanism uses the cylinder system so it should be UK legal. http://www.umarex.com/fileadmin/md/magnum.htm http://www.airshooter.co.uk/acatalog/Desert_Eagle2.html The Umarex media flash thing is a bit naff, but at least there's some pics and the manual for you to grab and have a look at. 5thElement
Known about these for a few months now, only started seeing them in the UK recently though. Im not convinced the DE is a 1:1 scale replica though, the pictures i've seen of it make it look kind of small. I could be wrong though. They also released a blowback Walther CP99 "compact" basically a compact version of the P99. This only fires steel/lead bb's though, not pellets, from a 19 shot magazine. http://www.surplusstore.co.uk/catalog/prod...roducts_id/1412 Here's a review of the Desert Eagle with pictures (its in german though so you might want to translate it with babelfish) http://www.co2air.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=23463 And also a review of the CP99 compact http://www.co2air.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=22653 I dont think the blowback is anything special though the whole slide doesn't blowback like a GBB would. Just need to take a look at the CP99 pictures to see that the slide only moves back about half an inch at most! I'd still like to try them out though, do look okay.
