Sora000
Ok, heres the idea. There are A LOT of question being asked about guns over and over. Now the search button is fine and dandy, but sometimes there is an answer the search button won't find for you. So the idea is to have an actually area, not a forum where you can post, that is devoted to the popular guns models, M4, 15, 16, Mp5, ect. All ANSWERED question threads could be put there according to which gun they cover, this does not included reviews of the guns. The mod would change the title of the thread, unless already good, to say exactly what the thread covers, and could highlight the question and answer(s). A little model of what you links you would click on: Questions/Answers Type of gun (and then you put AEG, GBB, ect) Brand (TM, CA, ICS, KWA ect.) Type of gun (and then there is Mp5, M4, ect) Question (and it would be like "how to fix" or "how to upgrade" ect) Then it would bring in the flitered threads and the edited titles would make it easy to find what you want. Sale
Your idea resembles a FAQ. People never read those and would post their repetitive dumb question anyways. Sorry to break this to you. -Sale

Although it probably would take a lot of work to make, and if people wouldn't even care about it anyway probably not worth it.
Marlowe
Lol, well just an idea as an easier way then the search button. Although it probably would take a lot of work to make, and if people wouldn't even care about it anyway probably not worth it. It's a good idea, but as Sale said, the whole reason that the questions are asked over and over is simply that people don't bother to search. In the latest storm of political correct idiocy we're not even allowed to point out to such lazy individuals that they should do so, which merely engenders more people doing the same. ...Sadly as a result, any attempt at a FAQ would be disregarded for the same reason: it's much easier for an immature individual who's been brought up in the modern western culture of instant gratification to simply disregard any previous questions on the same topic, and post the same questions all over again. (Here endeth the rant )
Hissing_Sid
On the positive side, it might be argued that the forums would all die in very short order if the same questions weren't repeated over and over. At least there's always the potential for discussions to go in new directions when a topic is revisited.
systema
Back on the negative size, these specific topics seem to clutter up the very clean Arnies Forums I have come to know so well! Well. It's really not that bad. Helping out the needy equals promoting more to play airsoft, and that's always nice.
Sora000
Well maybe instead of a prject like this, we could just use one part of it. The search has a filter to just search the titles. So if an mod saw a good thread and the title wasn't an obvious search then he/she could change the title so it could be found more easily through the search filter. Why start a new topic when you can revisit the old one, which already has a good amount of info? Someone might come up with a new theory, someone else might collect new data to support this... The debate doesn't have to be scattered all over the forums. Sure, you might not have 50 pages of active topics every bloody day, but I'd be willing to filter 99% of this nonsense anyways. -Sale
