Handsome Pete
Hi there. After readin the reviews, me and my team might purchase some throat mics. Im interested in your opinions of them, and which radio hand set (walkie talkie) would be best to buy...the cheaper the better. Cheers.
catfishsalesco
Well, the only frequency you can use in the UK without a lisence is PMR446, which gives you up to a 3km range, which should be plenty for airsofting. the handsets can be picked up quite cheeply, ive seem them for about 20 squid a pair in argos If you want to use throatmics, or any external mic, make shure the radios you get have external mic/speaker sockets. The type of plug on the radio varys between Manufacuers (my spelling is terrable i know!) Motorola is a well known radio MFR, so getting mics to fit them shouldnt be too hard. thier range of PMRs are called "talkabout" which have Ruberised dials, ect, and are quite durable. You cant goo to wrong with them

Sledge
Motorala radios and FireFox throat mikes are both great. There are reviews of the mikes on here written by xRAZERx, R22 and myself. We concluded that they're great. [blatant plug]Checkout the AirsoftMart forums here or their website. [/plug]
