Bob Mould
I'm not a fan of rails either - but having said that this is good news. I've been hoping for a Sig P228 for a long time (aside from the awful plastic spring version that's been out for years) - but with the ban looming I've been toying with the idea of a 226 as my choice of a compact backup. Rather than spend a small fortune metal'ing a TM one (as an erstwhile teammate has just done) this looks like it could be a winner especially if its capable of taking propane which as its all I run my kit on is important. Trades aren't too much of an issue - as has been pointed out already most engravers will do this for you if you really must them. For me 90% of my kit is about practicality rather than 100% realism. Any ideas on a release date ? I'm guessing the usual suspects (WGC/DEN) will stock this - plus they'll be compatible with TM mags as well. Hopefully as with the WE copies we'll see some nice two tone versions as well I'd love a black body / silver slide combination.
dirty mao
After looking and the picture, I think I'm satisfied with my plastic TM version. The trademarks (usually not important to me) really liven the thing up and make it not look like a piece of springer. Or that could just be me defending my decision to buy the plastic one before the metal was released.
Sledge
I don't think you need to defend it until this one's actually out. If this performs to the level of the TM, THEN you're in trouble.
dirty mao
Fingers crossed here, Sledge-o.
wasted__youf
Hmm looks good, but I just splurged on a TM m9 and metal body rather than a KJ one simply cuz I didn't want a metal KJ with no trades. I'll probably do the same with the TM P226.
