m4a1 556
Hey guys, I was planning on putting an m100 spring into my TM m4 and running a 9.6v battery. I was wondering what other parts I will need to upgrade as well to make sure not to fry any of the internals in my gun. I tried a search, but didn't get any real specific answers. Thanks in advance for any help.
sp00n
Metal bushings, nothing else really. Contrary to popular belief, stock TM gears can handle the 9.6v no problem.
bernie3674
metal bushing, maybe u need re-shim the gears, and it will be perfect.
m4a1 556
What do you mean by re-shimming the gears? Would these metal bushings work? And thanks for the quick replies.
Hissing_Sid
The shims are like thin washers which sit either side of the gears to hold them in place. If the gears can move from side-to-side something will break eventually.

boomboomairsoft
you should be able to find shims in the exact area you found the bushings
m4a1 556
Do these look right?
boomboomairsoft
it does say >shim set<, so my guess would be those are correct. but you prolly want someone with some experience to install them.
