stealth_Vicious
hi, i just purchased a blackhawk tactical vest, it was to good of a deal to pass up, 50 bucks USD, but my issue with it is its green, and i would prefer black, my questions are how hard would it be to die it black if at all possible? has anyone ever tried it before? and if possible what do i need to buy to do it? DazJW
I doubt it'd dye in one go, you'd have to do it a few times. I believe that's called overdying.
gambon
I doubt it will dye with normal dyes (e.g dylon) as it is nylon/manmade fibre, however it is perhaps possible to use ink to "dye" it .artists drawing ink would probably be best ,but test it on a small inconspicuous area of the vest first
Md0ggyd0g
Trade/sell it above what you paid to get a new one. Probably your best option.
maverick343432
Krylon Spray it once, then let it dry repeat, repeat, untill it's the right colour.
Sneaky6
Yeah I would paint it with spray paint. I dont know why you would want to make it black though. Black will silouette you more in daylight as well as at night than green or camo. What myself and many of my old teamates used to do was actually make our own camoflauge with spray paint. Think how people camo their guns but on your vest. Makes you nearly ivisible and even in urban combat it is better than black. Just a thought. Either way I would use paint. I dont think Dye will work well.
