darkchild130
I wonder if anyone who owns a BHI Omega vest can help me. Inside one of the the chest pouches you get a little Shotgun shell holder strip that attaches by velcro into the pocket. My question is: Do you think that the elasticated loops could securely hold 9mm blank cartridges securely or would they just fall out? the reason i ask is cos im going to buy a Dynatech blank fire grenade and would like to make use of that most useless seeming part of my vest. Unfortunately i dont have any 9mm rounds to test it with. Trivial i know, but its been irritating me for a while. Darkchild
umbra
No they won't, in short. 9mm is a fair bit smaller than 12 gauge. Having said that you could use 12 gauge blanks in your BFG, if they're allowed at your site.
darkchild130
I know 12 gauge is smaller, but the loops are small and elasticated, hence my question. Darkchild
umbra
Yes the loops are elasticated, but they are still too big to hold a 9mm blank. If you want to keep them secure, you could try putting two blanks in each loop.
darkchild130
Ok i will try that, thanks for your help. Darkchild
Thorbard
I think what someone did somewhere when their airsoft shotgun shells wouldn't fit in real shell holders was to put real shotgun shell casings in the holders and drop the airsof t ones in. That might work with the blanks too.
