sekiryu
So, my WMP, which is now version 11 (even though I still had this problem with 10), won't play certian MP3s. I checked the codecs used on these particular files, and they're MPEG-1 Layer 3, just like all of my working songs, but for some reason it just won't work. It gives me the "file type not supported" error.
Qhs
Have you tried the MP3 on a different player? That error is most likely from a missing codec.
sekiryu
Yes, it works on different players, but I need it to work with WMP. Why? Well, the only two programs I have for burning CDs are Nero 7 and WMP. Since WMP can't play the file, it can't burn it either. And Nero 7 is being an *albatross* because it keeps skipping data when it burns the music--so I'm happily enjoying my music, and then these .5 second long blank spots keep popping up.
