The M14 saga: part 2
My Tokyo Marui M14 just arrived. Aaaaaaaand relax.
This was my main Christmas present (to my myself, natch) this year, and that's besides the RK-104 I got just before Christmas; this was actually confirmed as a purchase and e-paid on Christmas morning itself. So there ya go, its all official, like.
I Haven't counted for a while but I think that makes it 72 guns now, which is nice, and I realised just how `nice` that actually is the other day when I was sitting on the tram from Den Haag to Amsterdam in a dreamy state - but that's another story.
So this M14, then. It's great, of course? In fact, as I said to Peter Chan at Guns N Guys "this bloody M14 affair" has got me a bit annoyed at myself, and through a little bit of stubbornness and little bit of overly festive cheer I have shot myself in the foot, so to speak.
I ended up paying £238.something for the M14 + shipping from WGC. I got a free WGC baseball cap with it though, so that's all right
Plus the £61.something tax & VAT on delivery and that's nigh-on £300 I paid when it's only £265 + £8 postage at Airsoft Dynamics. Idiot am I.
So although it's a fantastic piece, and the bolt racking mechanism is worth almost the full price on it's own (it's soooooo cool, I feel like such a geek ) it has arrived through a tenuous and unnecessarily costly route. But hey, it is *fruitcage* ing awesome, and I look forward to shooting it this evening....
So yeah, this is how I got my M14. Its been a bit of a trial, and it has caused some mild upset, but now it is here and the world is all the better for it
