Coming soon...
After trying to make a sandwich, I am apparently unable to make a basic gun display either I carved off the end of my left thumb on Friday night while under the illusion it was a piece of pepper. Tequila can do that to a man.
So my promise of a basic display for a pistol or two didn’t happen yet because one of my thumbs doesn't work properly – but I discovered its not bloody easy to do with nowt but a cardboard box to your name!
Other people might have assumed that much anyway, but of course, I’m not other people
Gonna be nicking some roofing batten and any other odds and ends around the place here in the yard, see if I can’t knock up something a little more professional than the cardboard box affair this evening (it was a strong box, mind you )
As a sort of aside, but because I really am trying to keep things airsoft-related or at least not f**king boring here, there will be another little package arriving this week and, despite the fact that I’m the only bugger whose gonna receive it, I do know that perusing other people’s airsoft shopping lists does provide a modicum of entertainment, so here goes:
AUG sling in fetching OD, by KM
M16 sling in dashing Black, likewise a part of the KM Collection
M700 Takedown by Kuan Ju Works. Oh yeah, baby.
Sig 552 by the ubiquitous and beloved Marui.
MP5/G3 low mount base (Marui)
MP5/G3 high mount base (Marui) For the sake of completism I guess.
M712 full metal Mauser Carbine from HFC – for those hard-to-reach sniping spots.
T77 – or rather, Mac 10 Custom – again, a full metal gun (an SMG) by HFC.
2500-rd Box mags (2 of ‘em) by Classic Army and for their M249. I will be smiling lots at the next skirmish
P7 M13 springer. Just because of Hans!
Which should keep me busy for a little while at least. Shenanigans with the CA249 look set to continue (seriously Dave, don’t worry about the heatshield; it was like that already, for all I care!) with the fitting of the boxmag(s) which I am assured is a pig of a thing to do. Good job I just got a load of helpers in the form of our informal little team isn’t it?
I’ve lent out the P90, the newly upgraded AK and the AUG to the three people I trust in our group who have no guns; they are going to stay out on a semi-permanent loan which therefore effectively removes all responsibility for these guys and their equipment from myself, and places it firmly in the hands of those enjoying the benefits of free skirmishing.
Obviously these guys get a cool toy, mags & batteries each to play with and use at their discretion, but mostly they will get to appreciate how to take care of the guns, work out any niggles and operational habits necessary, and basically relieve me of all mid-game issues, complaints and fixes, making each of my skirmishes that much easier
