Goddamn M14s. I'm starting to despise them now, as much as I lust after one they have caused untold misery to millions.... </exaggeration>.

No I'm hardly annoyed about it, just a little bewildered, and it's that they are so problematic compared to all other AEGs I've ever bought. I just snubbed Guns N Guys offer of one at £3000 (HKD) which is about £220, in favour of WGC's $318 (USD). The differences of course are that WGC have just quotd me and they want $86 USD for shipping!!

Given that they are now guaranteed to get stung by customs with handling and VAT then the total price will be around £300.

It'll actually be cheaper to get it form the UK. Airsoft Dynamics have them at £265 + postage, should be a mere tenner for that and that's VAT inclusive.

The demand for new AEG models in Japan must be so intense that these are in some kind of incredible demand - we all know how fast the first batch sold out after all, and then the next on in October/November disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Thanks to that their supply and demand (that old chestnut) situation I suppose it means they can afford to charge stinking prices to anyone - especially to the other dealers who would all happily stamp on the fingers of their competitors as they cling to the lower rungs of the commercial ladder (all's fair in love and business ).

I know GnG have to buy from other retailers sometimes, as witnessed by the price of their Marushin M1 garand, and this means the amazing prices they can usually offer are somewhat obselete.

Thankfully, sort of, I might just be able to find a couple of WGC-exclusive products to go with it that should make it slightly more worthwhile, but after paying the excellent GnG prices it is a bitter pill to swallow to have to give over $100+ (as it will be with an extra item or two) and then have the "privilege" of paying HM Revenue and Customs their robber's swag in the form of VAT.

But that's another rant altogether
