The remaining space in the Star case is for the bayonet if i could source one anybody know where?

Hey mOrfar, The dovetail fitted to the L85 is only for the handle/rear sight or susat if u want to attach any other optics u need to have a L85 Dovetail to 20mm Regular Scope Mount Adaptor.

Here is my star a2 with the real a2 handguard but mine seems to open with no problem.

KSC G17 with real TDI TAC stock It took a bit of fileing of the shoe end to fit you also need to drill a hole about 5mm in the back end of the pistol grip so the locking pin can engage otherwise the stock and pistol will part in use. Makes the pistol steady as a rock though and accurate. -H. Hawk.
