A patch is usually left upside until you've matriculated. If you haven't graduated a magpul dynamics class it best be flipped. Travis had folks turn 'em upside during our first class, then told 'em to flip 'em afterward signifying we had earned it.

ACS, it's an aluminum plate at the bottom. I store an extra 7.62 sized bolt in the stock compartment and CR123As in the tubes.

40-50 bucks. The ACS also has storage you can access WITHOUT having to remove the stock. Seriously, try accessing spare batteries in a rush with the SOPMOD. The ACS also has storage in the bottom potion of the stock, and a tension lock like the CTR. It also has a strike plate at the bottom, which is nice for real rifles (in a class I took with the local swat team we had to break a car window with the butt of the stock).

It's designed for pilots to provide a low level of ambient light for reading maps and other information. On a combat helmet, probably not so much. Rangers used them for a short time before the SF Helmet lights became available.

Thanks guys. It's very durable. I mean it'll scratch if whacked against stuff, but I put velcro down in the wrong spot and I was worrying that peeling it off would rip the surface, but it didn't. It's got an automotive grade clear coat (matte) on it. The V-Lites are purely for safety. When I shoot night matches with other shooters its so they can see my head position (I wear colored chem lights on my plate carrier so they know where I am down range as I don't want to catch a 5.56 or 7.62 in the back). The middle V-Lite is an IR version. Works like a simpler version of the MS2000.

Agreed, considering the whole system is meant to pack max firepower in a small package the size and weight of that opics make that choice feel a little...under cooked.

haha, awww...the SR-25 EMC copying is so flattering Get a black PEQ-15 on there and a Scout and you'll really get me blushing. Correct they're engraved and then anodized, so they have the same deep look as the engraving on the receiver. For example you can see a bit of the rail engraving and the lower:

USCM, just a few notes of comparing it to the one in front of me now: -Trademarks on the EMC URX rail are all black, not white. You may want to fill those in. The screws on the URX are also flat (take a look on your SR-15 upper and you'll see what I mean). -EMC Selector is scalloped like the PDW on the right side. -The brass deflector is about half as tall as it should be (obviously not something you can control) -Ambi bolt release (you know about that already).
