I also did a transplant just now for mine with a Guarder frame: So far I've got the compatibility of the this and their G17 down to the following: Inner barrel + Hop up(installed PDI 6.01+9Ball Rubber) Plastic frame(Guarder) Recoil/Hammer spring(the latter looks the same, has not install it yet though) Mag Catch(although the stock G18C magcatch has a metal reinforcement thats missing from the G17s, I swapped in the Guarder steel one for G26/G17/KJ Glock) Magazine Strangely I can't get the G17's TM night sight installed onto the G18C. going to try again when metal slide com

I didn't like Guarder frame, because I broke the previous version quite easily. But I saw the reinforce version a while back so I thought I give it a go. The trades is the main attraction obviously, and $30 plus shipping is not a big dent in ones' wallet....It is not until I pull the guts out of the TM that I find I am starting to crack the TM frame also, so I guess thats a preventative replacement... I've never owned a KSC G18, so I have no comparison. The TM one is nice, much like all TM GBB. Not very high on the FPS, but the kick is strong and it is accurate.

Airsoft GI sells them but more expensive, I got mine from UNC. Those are the only 2 confirmed place that sells the new version that I know of...

Guarder frame with the TM G18C...next up, metal slide...when it comes out....

Guarder stainless steel one, came with the slide set. I am not sure if the FA ones for the G26 will fit...but those are the only ones I know of, aside from attempting to mod a real steel ones...

Guarder frame installed(15 min), a bit longer to stipple the new frame.... The texture is slightly different to the TM and the hue is slightly different. The new version has the front post reinforced with a embedded metal bushing so you don't get crack initiation site on the thread in the plastic itself. Guarder supplied the new screws to use with the bushing. Will it hold up longer? Time will tell, my last Guarder frame did not stand up to the steel slide for long...also note the new mag catch, it is now a Guarder steel unit...

I got one my accident, haven't used it yet. It looks exactly like the Nine-Ball ones....

I got the 18C last week The G17 was more than a year ago now...

Despite my Canadian flag I am in US. When I got the G18C(TMC) and the G17(eHobby) before, I didn't ask for anything special. TMC just painted the orange tip on the barrel and put putty on tape over all the trades and they shipped the box inside out. eHobby glued a orange tip on the stainless barrel which was easily removed with a pair of pliers and taped up the trades. I recently just got 2 Glock frames from UNC and they just wrapped it in a lot of bubble wrap they didn't even bother covering anything. So far I haven't had any problem.

Detonator's Trijicon-looking sight...no Tritium, but glow in the dark(like the stock or Dytac), steel machined....

I don't know about over heating or anything....not in RS or airsoft... The gun is new, no aftermarket slide has been made yet. I got mine puttied, it can probably be taped from different shop.

the trigger spring is stiffer....don't know about the hammer spring. But stiffer hammer spring will allow more reliable strike, though may compromising rate of fire......

I think he made a batch of those.....consider you only ordered yours very recently its unlikely he wouldn't have gone to the step of making the marking yet if he was making a "fresh one" per se....

I am guessing those 2 are compatible. The mags are interchangable with G17, frame may be interchangeable(will find out soon when my guarder stuff gets here). Looking at the manual the springs seems to be the same(including the hammer spring). BUT any of the BBU and firing mechanism parts does not look compatible at all...

TM Glock 18C Yes I know its stock...but not much I can do yet...

nice...first one I've seen with those new G&P barrel....I wonder if they are still gonna make the steel version... Looks good!
