  1. AirSoft Extreme sells large battery stocks for the SCAR. Replacing the stock with one of those might solve the problem. http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....roducts_id=3218
  2. Tanaka M700 AICS in an attempted multicam pattern that I airbrushed on.

  4. Excerpt for US Army policy on blogging and OPSEC: Originally, in Regulation 530-1, the Army decreed its personnel “will…consult with their immediate supervisor and their OPSEC officer for an OPSEC review prior to publishing or posting information in a public forum. … This includes, but is not limited to letters, resumes, articles for publication, electronic mail (e-mail), Web site postings, Web log (blog) postings, discussion in Internet information forums, discussion in Internet message boards or other forms of dissemination or documentation.” The revision of the regulation states
  5. I honestly don't know about your first question so I can't answer it. As for the second, the 'half-head' helmet is not jump rated by the Army, so SF teams don't use it. However, I do know some individuals that bought their own and use them except for airborne operations. BTW, that helmet is jump rated for the Navy and SEALs use it all the time.
  6. Go with a Safariland 6004 since that's pretty much the standard holster a SF team is going to have. If you want to know where I got my information, PM me. It's not PERSEC so much as Army Policy against posting on open information sources (such as internet forums).
  7. Besides the M9, SF Teams use HK USPs and M1911A1s.
  8. I'm all for an Army thread considering I've been in for about two years now. As for all the questions on what SF uses as far as gear; anything that works for that person. I know some guys that swear by MOLLE, others that prefer fixed vests or chest rigs. It just depends on what your mission is and how you are operating. If they're doing a low profile operation, they'll use local uniforms/clothing and gear. If they're operating in Vehicles, chest rigs worn high on the chest would be more appropriate. For CQB, they'll break out the body armor like the CAG guys in some of the pics. Dive team
  9. The "and" in the sentence is a conjunction between two ideas. It can be interpreted as two different or two similar ideas depending on your point of view. I guess whenever someone has said "SOF" around me, it's always been refering to SOF as a whole.
  10. SOF refers to any Special Operations Forces units in any service. Navy SEALs, AF PJs and CCTs and, technically, Marine Force Recon should count. If you want to limit it to Army only, USASOC units would be appropriate though this would count PsyOps and Civial Affairs as well.
  11. Hey guys, open your photo editing software and block out their faces. This forum is open to every *fruitcake*-head on the internet. These guys do not want to be recognized overseas. Do them a favor and protect their identity.
