  1. Hope that's lighter than my AUG Masterkey... What shotty did you use?
  2. After you get that Hensoldt RSA, can you send the S-point to me?
  3. No, it's mine, dammit, you can't have one... It's mine, my own, my preciousssssss.... *Ahem* Excuse me... Actually, been having a slight issue with the silencer - seems that BBs are catching the inside somehow and it's significantly affecting the FPS. Grrrr... Nothing's ever easy
  4. I do love having unique things. Thanks again for all your efforts, mate. One day we'll have to find ourselves at a skirmish site together, so I can give you a case of beer or something. (Let me know your brand) The real steel image from the Stey website is the A2 version of the AUG SMG, there are going to be some differences. I believe that the lack of the left hand ejection port cover is due to the 9mm bolts not being reversible, and stocks sold specifically for the 9mm version therefore don't need the second ejection port. My version legitimately retains the left hand port co
  5. When I first started airsofting, almost by chance, I bought a TM AUG as my first AEG, mainly because I thought it look cool and came with a built-in scope. Later, I researched the real steel AUG and found that I'd picked a replica of one of the best assault rifles in the world, and part of an entire modular system. Thus my idea for Project AUG was born - the goal to have airsoft versions of all the various AUG models. It has been almost a decade since I had this idea, and in that time I have achieved much. I have the H-Bar support weapon, the tiny Para/Commando and slightly longer Carbine
  6. The use of airsoft guns in the sport of airsofting is implied. If someone sold a tennis raquet with a warning that said "not for use in tennis", such would clearly be ridiculous. If harm was to result from the use of said raquet, then it is clearly unfit for the purpose intended, bringing at least partial liability back to the manufacturer. No such warning would be likely to stop spurious lawsuits being presented to the courts in this day and age... However, I don't think this is the place for such a discussion.
  7. While that's certainly true, I'm not sure such a warning would avoid liability in such a case. The courts being run by idiotic jokers, as they appear to be...
  8. Remember, don't shoot any human or animal... Seriously, why do they put that on airsoft guns? Everyone knows that shooting people is the primary use for them. It's what they're designed and built for.
  9. That's right, fight that giant leafy plant.... I'm sorry, I'm just not seeing how these pictures of people aiming rifles are "artistic"
  10. I've got to say that I'm liking the side mounting for that light... But why is it white? I don't rate the forward position of the red-dot though.
  11. Maybe I'm not "artistic" enough to appreciate the difference, but I don't see anything more or less boring in your pictures than the ones you're disparaging. There are some good shots in both collections.
  12. How much did you pay for a real-steel scope rail? Was it hard to adapt for the airsoft version?
  13. It could be. Today I got emails for the HK Picture thread, and this thread. I checked my settings, and I've got "Immediate" notification set for every thread I reply to or start. I'll see how things go for a few days....
  14. Ironicly, I got an email about your reply to this topic. So they *are* getting through to me - well, *SOME* of them are... However, I think that's the only topic reply email I've received for several days. I've got no idea what's going on... EDIT: As an example - there was a reply to the rant thread this morning, but I didn't get an email about it. There are other examples, but this one is definite. I haven't been into the thread today, so something went wrong some time between whenever I was last there and this morning. Hope that helps - sorry it's a bit vague.
  15. Leadmill - PM'd you about my friend's LSW. Turns out it's a Star one.
  16. On browsing the forum, I have noticed several threads I'm watching/active in have had new replies recently. But I haven't had any emails to tell me of the new posts. Is this a fault somewhere in the server gubbins? I know that Arnie and others are working hard on various database issues, is it possible that some of the work has turned off notification emails? Is it just me, or have other users been affected by this? It's hard to tell, really, unless you spend all your time here so you notice replies to threads you should get emails about...
  17. An update, for those who care - somewhat unsurprisingly, the good people at Steyr have completely ignored the email I sent them... Jerks.
  18. Is the new one any good? I'd hate to spend a lot of money on a sight that's no use. I mean, sure, i like ot look the part as much as the next guy but I don't like carrying around useless things.
  19. I certainly will - but funds are a bit tight right now, so it might be a while. I've added them to my favourites, anyway, so I'll be able to keep an eye on the stock levels.
  20. I know someone who was looking to sell his LSW, but I can't remember what make it was. I'll ask him next time I see him.
  21. Those S-Point sights seem about as rare as buck-toothed roosters, I can't find anyone with them in stock, regardless of make. Much less the covers for them....
  22. Isn't the LLM supposed to mount on the side of the carrying handle? At least, that's what the info I've seen said. What red-dot is that?
  23. Get a lipo pack, should be plenty of room in the handgrip for a good powerful battery. My Gen 2 has. Where'd you get it, and how much? I'd consider trading in my old gen 2 for a shiny new gen 3, if the price was right.
  24. More info! Is that an SRC Gen 3?
