  1. Gears are XYT style... Just like the STAR I would say that these internals are good for at least 400fps without upgrading. Thats it for internals Final impressions.... Pros - Cheap purchase price - Nylon fibre externals that are pretty nice for the cost - quick change gearbox features - 3 pin takedown - Trade marks and included black flash hider Cons - wobbly handguard - terrible magazine and some mag compatibility issues - some propietary parts - finicky stock bucking - strange hop up placement For the money I think this would be a good add
  2. Cylinder is chromed out brass. This is a change from STAR cylinder which was painted black. Trigger switch is M249 style... Motor is pretty good, nothing special though. Trigger response is Meh ROF is MEH but reliability is very good... Piston head is polycarb Marui style non ported... Piston is Polycarb... Tappet is marui style... Nozzle is Marui style... Cylinder head is polycarb...
  3. Motor cage was shrinkwrapped but it got damaged when I removed the gearbox... Internal snapshot... Spring guide is polycarb and metal. It is also propietary...
  4. Performance The gun ran pretty well out of the box. ROF using an 8.4v mini was 15 RPS ... Velocity was ~300Fps The range was good, but even with the hop up turned completely off, it still over hopped. Now this can be fixed by replacing the bucking or running some rounds through it to break in teh hop up bucking. The bucking was different from the STAR brand and resembled a guarder soft(clear) bucking. MAGAZINES Stock Magazine misfed constantly. The STAR magazines I used to have did the same thing. They double stack and jam near the opening of the maga
  5. Ok, this isn't my best work, but I wanted to give everyone a snapshot aboutr the ARES G36C I got this holiday season. The only reason I bought it was because it was only $119.00 on Ehobby. Considering how I liked the asthetics of my STAR SL9, I figured the money would be worth it just for a good looking G36C shell. ok, sssooo,.... ARES G36C Price- $120~$180 Real steel history- google it, but I'm pretty sure it went like this,,, Eugene Stoner, Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov and head Hk engineers were lured under false pretense to a single doored windowless
  6. yeah , it is a late model Stagea with a Skyline conversion
  7. Looks good my friend, You need to crack open that gearbox now!
  8. I used a run of the mill Canon EOS 450D(USA calls it Rebel Xsi) I mostly used the Canon 18-55mm Kit lens. Some of the close ups and model shots were with a Canon 50mm prime lens The Prime lens stays at about 1.8 Av most of the time which I really needed in that lighting. Even though most of my subjects were still, I needed to get shots off fast before people walked by. typically in that venue, here were the settings shutter speed 1/40~1/60 ISO 200~400 F-stop 1.8~2.4 all shot in "program' mode w/o flash and "faithful" color setting
  9. No you don't. Unlike Japan, almost every Korean citizen can speak english to some degree, and due to the way their alphabet is, they are easier to understand than japanese when speaking english.
  10. I lived in Korea before, and I agree there are some real hotties there. However, If you walk down any street in Tokyo you can find a Myriad of super hott chics, hotter than the ones in these pictures in fact. I don't beleive these girls properly represent Japanese beautiful girls, but they were the ones willing to deal with the BS of the tokyo Auto Salon. So I give them kudos.
  11. Sorry, you have to understand about the girls, they are more popular than the cars. You need stilts to get a shot in. There is literally a wall of dudes accompanied by a furious swarm of camera shutters snapping. It is a sight to behold.
  12. Here is a link to my album. http://s7.photobucket.com/albums/y284/mean...20Salon%202010/
  13. I', reallly diggin all the stipling jobs these days.
  14. Troy rear sight $16USD http://www.ebairsoft.com/troy-rear-folding...ght-p-2659.html
  15. Sick rifles gentlemen. I really wish I had purchased a MUR1 Vltor upper. I made a mistake when ordering. Oh well
  16. I am guessing not because the SR10 doesnt use an M4 length 7" gas system. Anything you can mount to a rail you can use though you have 25cm of rail to work with. I guess i am a bit confused of what you are asking, A RIS mounted m203 does not need to attach to the barrel as well as the railed handguards. You can always get a different KWA model which would suit your M203 needs. All of the latest models have the new gearboxes and hop ups.
  17. You can mount a 203 to the rail but you cant use a barrel clamp. It uses a bull type barrel that has no m203 cut. it is also 16in long not 14.5in
  18. Nothing noticable, just get whatever one you like the looks of better.
  19. It is smooth and clicks into each position. If you watch the mag compatability video, I click it to safe towards the end where you can clearly hear it "click" into safe. Thanks for the comments guys
  20. If you remove that sticker, then you void your warranty.
  21. Hop up unit Seemles construction equipped with a brass stabilizer ring RAS/RIS Constructed very similarly to the real deal. Extremely solid once properly tightened just like the real thing. That's it for internals. Obviously KWA sets the bar for building a killer gearbox. There isn't another gun in my 21 AEG arsenal that can boast a better gearbox. Pros - Revamped externals - Free float RAS - Best gearbox on the market - Battery crane stock - flip up sights - Lipo ready - Unrivaled customer service - range, accuracy and consistency of a top dollar DMR
  22. The tappet is robust. It has a specially ground cam profile to work with the included sector chip. The spring hook is also beefier than a normal Ver 2 Tappet. Here is the KWA tappet(Black) next to a King Arms tappet(Red). The gearbox was redesigned to resist front end failures. - Thicker reinforcements - elimiminated 90deg angles - "zippered" gearbox halves 9mm bearings You can have your m160 spring and still run bearings. Full auto DMR anyone??? Trigger block post! This is what failed on my first KWA M4. It looks like they rectified this issue by eliminat
  23. 2GX Gearset Heat treated gear set is very beefy. Widened sector gear teeth, sector feeding chip, 2 piece spur gear, just a nice set up all around as far as the gearset is concerned. Heat Treated Anti reverse latch.
  24. Ball Bearing spring guide also very similar to Guarder brand... Piston/Piston head KWA has the best stock piston in any gun hands down. Reinforced first tooth, shaved down 2nd tooth and super strong build material. The aluminum piston head has a ring bearing setup and offers perfect compression despite not being ported. Ported brass cylinder, Polycarb Cylinder head and metal air nozzle. The Cylinder head seals extremely well with the cylinder.
