  1. True...sad thing is back then when I was State-side in autumn I had no waterproof boots...
  2. Thanks for the feedback. I used to use Altama Desert Boots for airsoft until I picked up the Asolo. Never went back again...they're just great boots
  3. Finished review here: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/207555-asolo-moran-gtx-salomon-quest-4d-gtx/
  4. Well actually at current I'm thinking that my 11.5 size Quest 4D is a bit too tight...might gonna exchange for a size 12 and see how it goes...
  5. well they are pricey, but as far as I heard from others they last very long... Besides since I hike a lot other than just paintballing and airsofting (when I'm not in the US)...I'd rather purchase hiking boots rather than standard military issue/desert boots Just my two cents
  6. (My apologies for writing the review rather late, three weeks after starting it) Asolo Moran GTX & Salomon Quest 4D GTX Review Asolo Moran GTX Salomon Quest 4D GTX BACKGROUND For the past three years my Altama HopLites were my go-to boots in airsoft (and functions as my go-to work boot as well). Since then I began studying overseas and my Altamas started to fall short of expectations here. It is a non- Gore Tex boot which means it's not waterproof (duh...) and in where I currently live there's snow fall after late November. I began eyeing for a pair of gore tex boots can

Since then I began studying overseas and my Altamas started to fall short of expectations here. It is a non- Gore Tex boot which means it's not waterproof (duh...) and in where I currently live there's snow fall after late November. I began eyeing for a pair of gore tex boots that can supplement my Altamas. That's when I narrowed down to Asolo and Salomon, prominently because of their uses in Afghanistan by NATO armed forces. I eventually chose to go for a p
  8. Dude this looks smexy!!! Nice job on making ur gun look nice. Standard barebones 416 looks fugly IMO
  9. Ahh well man I wish I could change the scope, but unfortunately I'm going overseas for studies by August and theres no way to change the scope for just a month's use I actually purposedly bought the replica TA01NSN just for a Special Force loadout (currently a Navy SEALs loadout with new boonie hat and new vest), since this model was reported to be standard issue ACOG for SOCOM...still enjoyed using this scope even though the eye relief is a bit short. I tend not to use scopes with red dot (if it's wrong let me know since I didn't know much about your scope, rather enjoyed using a scope with
  10. *This is the review from the Review Database, with added photos; please inform me in case any grammatical mistakes are made. English is my second language and I sure will make a lot of mistakes*+ (Short summary at the end if you don't want to read the whole review) TOKYO MARUI P226 CHROME STAINLESS TABLE OF CONTENT -INTRODUCTION -FIRST IMPRESSION -DETAILED LOOK -PERFORMANCE!!! -CONCLUSION -P226 FOR THE LEFT HANDED -SUMMARY FOR THE LAZY FOLKS!!! -RATINGS INTRODUCTION First of all, I confess that I'm not a fan of Tokyo Marui. 11. Barrel: R.I.S. + Foregrip Receiver Handgrip Buttstock: As you can see there are many scratch marks and wear-and-tear, the paint is only applied months ago and these marks are gained after a field test and an airsoft event. More pics coming!!! Once there are enough pics they would all be added to the review in the database here: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/reviewpost/showproduct.php/product/956/title/41628sportline-29/cat/16 [Edit]: Some more pics, all of them from a field test on the Lantau Chateau, Sunset Peak, Hong Kong (???):
  12. Spot on man!!! I earned the lesson of Classic Army airsofting the hard way when I took my stock 416 Sportline for a game. Out-ranged, out-powered... Spent the same amount of cash I used to buy the gun and worked out the internals. Now the gun's running smoothly and shooting as nice as it can under USD 300 (including the gun itself). You can't skirmish with a CA unless you have modified it (I modified it right after the warranty expired)
  13. Sorry that I wasn't in ArniesAirsoft forums for a while, been busy for a year so I went of the hook for the time being back then. Anyways here's some updates on this gun. No there isn't any 416-type rail systems so far, tho I heard that an ACM company is making one... I hope I can cya one day too The reason why I bought the Sportline version is because I wanted a cheap gun with RIS to test out all sorts of new equipments whenever I apply on them, besides the Sportline is cheap, I can put *albatross*-loads ( ) of upgrades on the gun and its still cheaper than buying a VFC for
  14. Just a small update: After a year of heavy use my black MEU is still holding up with no problems though the inner barrel might be swapped out with a KM one later on since it's getting worned
