  1. Ahhh that'll just be normal cylinder/piston variation noise. That 'clack' is also a good indication of when the spring is fully decompressed at the end of a cycle, so if you're trying to relax the spring with a few shots on semi-auto, the clack should indicated the piston is in it's furthest forward position. Nothing to worry about
  2. You lucky git Looks very nice, that's for sure. So the mags are hicaps? They look like they'd hold about 2,000 rounds! Mags a bit difficult to carry i assume? Still, back on topic - I may have missed it in the review, but do you happen to know the weight of the package? I'm really quite tempted by one of these, but i imagine the shipping to the UK is going to be insane...
  3. I'm not quite sure exactly; The gearboxes in mine *do* sometimes make a slightly different noise - Especially in semi-auto. Sometimes there's slightly less of a distinct thwack on the end of the firing cycle, or it can occasionally be louder - but it's really really sublte. Is it making a completely different sound occasionally compared to most shots, or is it just a slight difference every few shots? I'd guess it's probably just normal, but if it seems really loud or anything, might be worth asking around in the tech forums - I'm pants with the inside of gearboxes
  4. If it is a Bizon, i'm a ) Jealous, and b ) Amazed and stupefied as to where it came from... I notice the Beta project plastic AK mags are sometimes peddled as 'Magpul'... Maybe some kind of subcontracting thing? Also, nice to see a PEQ that doesn't have wires sticking out
  5. Ugly isn't always a bad thing - Look at the M60, i'd kill for one of those. That's the first Shrike LMG i've seen in ages actually - It's as ugly as it is unique... In a good way
  6. That's uglier than my most shameful one night stand. Where can i get one?
  7. Well it isn't sunday, so seeing as i can't be shooting airsoft guns, might as well be chatting about them Just to be extra helpful... http://www.component-shop.co.uk/html/body_airsoft_li-po.html - 7.4 1200's, 2nd down on that page. Fit perfectly in the buffer tube and last around 2,000 rounds or so - 2 of them lasts me a day's gaming, although i've got 5 more 800's just to be on the safe side and to lend people. http://www.component-shop.co.uk/html/body_lipo.html - 2nd charger down - Same as the top one, but comes with the mains adaptor. 3 things to remember with the above
  8. Buy some lipo's mate Front wiring it is.... a ) Going to cost money b ) Leave horrible wires visible c ) Make the gun a bugger to field strip for maintenance You're going to end up paying about £20-30 for a half decent PEQ, and probably another £20 on getting it re-wired. Call it £50 for arguement's sake - Check out Component shop, and you can buy 3 7.4 800 Lipo's and a £15 Turnigy charger (that can also be hooked up to a car battery if needs be) for £50. You'll keep the gorgeous looks of the gun, you'll get a quicker trigger response and rate of fire, batteries will be far easi
  9. I recognise that vest On the very same day, i got fed up of everyone wimping it behind cover, so i figured taking a casual stroll with a pair of AR's might help (in the middle, obviously); Cover is for ponses.
  10. Those slashes on the side look like they'd be good to fill with some sort of customisation... Inert rounds maybe? Also, pardon the off-topic, but have i been smoking too much or is that a Bizon AEG?
  11. I did just type a very long and detailed post there, but my laptop is a complete *fruitcage* useless cuntpile and kindly destroyed it. Basically, long story fairly short - I currently own 2 fully G&P based M4's - They're both COMPLETELY stock, except for H nubs. They both put out around 340fps, and they both match or outperform EVERYTHING else on my local field. My MRP has taken a big dump all over Systema PTW's worth £2,000, as well as guns people have filled with the most expensive parts they can possibly find. I've never had a G&P gearbox break on me without firing a good 100 or
  12. Nice rack Sorry, someone had to say it.... Still, i could do with one of these - Seems like a very reasonable price for a nice, simple and effective product.
  13. The Salvation 416 looks awesome - Now i want one damnit! Also, fiddled with things on my MRP - New Pmags, Flashhider/Silencer/New optics set up:
  14. I use a CTR on a G&P tube, and it's rock-solid. Saying that, it's one of the newer slightly thickened buffer tubes designed for a Lipo, and an ACM CTR stock, so i'm not sure how much that helps. On another note, got some King Arms Pmag hicaps, and a new optics setup for my MRP, as well as a Scar flashhider/QD silencer... I don't think i ever want to change the look of this thing. I'd cuddle up to it at night if it wasn't so cold and metallic.
  15. Not quite a sentry, but i recently switched the standard G&P nub in my MRP (Similar barrel length, same gearbox, etc) to a Madbull H nub, and groupings have improved dramatically. Previously, i could hit a man-thickness tree 9 times out of 10 at 40 metres with the stock G&P hop unit/nub/bucking/barrel. With the simple change to the H nub, i can hit the same tree 9 times out of 10 at about 50 metres. It's noticeably more accurate, and every shot is bang on the red dot at 35 yards. It was pretty accurate before, but now i can safely say it's among the 5 most accurate AEG's at my local fi
  16. Thanks dude One thing i forgot to add; Ranger plates won't fit on these magazines due to the winding wheel - Regular 5.56 rubber magpuls fit just fine, however.
  17. King Arms/Magpul PTS 360 round Hi-Cap AR15 AEG magazine Introduction Pmags. There are loads of them, these days. For those that don't know, Pmag stands for 'Polymer Magazine', a type of M16/AR15 30 round magazine made by Magpul Industries. The idea behind the RS version is that they're lighter, easier to grip and manipulate, and feed better than standard AR15 magazines. There have been Midcap and Lowcap PMAG Magazines around for a fair while now. Both Magpul PTS and STAR make Pmags - PTS being the 'high end' version, in 120 round flavour, and STAR marketed as 'Green Label' Pmags in v
  18. Thanks dude Magpul trigger guard for the M7 and my MRP are both on the next paycheque - Although i've never really felt the need for the ASAP, i get on quite well with the basic receiver plate mount... My weapons are only really slung between games, so it's £40 i don't really need to spend. As for the silencer, i agree entirely - I do quite like the 'SD' style look it gives, but it's much easier to maneuvere with the KX3 amplifier, and it also makes a hell of a crack =D
  19. @Deepeyes; That's possibly the first tan gun i'd actually consider owning! Colour scheme looks the balls. G&P Sentry for the base gun? Also, My newly rebuilt G&P/Magpul M7A1; Used to look like this... And now it looks like this... Although i've since gone back to the KX3, as the AAC silencer/flash hider looks far better on my MRP.
  20. Nicer pictures of the M7A1, although i've since gone back to the KX3, as the Scar flash-hider/silencer looks way better on my MRP...
  21. Awww it's cute Looks like quite the handy CQB tool. Speaking of handy CQB tools, my OD Marine M4 has been reborn... as an almost entirely G&P Troy M7A1. I'll get some nicer pics up this evening, but for now; It's made out of... G&P Troy CQBSPC/MUR-1 Receiver with a G&P 8mm bearing gearbox & 120 motor G&P Noveske 7.5" Stainless barrel with VLTOR Low-profile gas block and tube G&P Troy MRF-RX 7" Rail King Arms Lipo buffer tube Dytac SCAR F/Hider + Dytac AAC Style SCAR Silencer/Tracer unit Fakepul CTR stock + AFG PTS MOE Grip G&P Ladders G&
  22. I have to agree with the above... Nice idea, and probably not even unrealistic, but it just looks like something that'd be sold in a country with tight gun laws spitting out .22's... Big bulky ACR + weedy little stick mag = Bad. And it looks like going prone is gonna be a *badgeress*. Only an opinion obviously and it's definitely unique, but it just looks... well, weird.
  23. I keep telling people at my site we're in a forest, not a desert; Noone listens =[ Saying that, i've been royally Pwned by people in Desert DPM hiding in the long grass/dead thorny areas, so i guess there is some logic to it. Was going to say the EGLM looks like it adds a lot of weight up front - I guess without it the optics set up probably balances the CASV system a bit better. On an unrelated topic - My G&P Troy M7-a-like will be built this evening, so i'll get some pictures up when i'm done.
  24. This page is full of awesome guns. Azn; I also say skip the bipod, but i reckon the AAC makes it look a little too long... I'd stick with a f/hider if it was mine.
  25. From what i can tell, the spring is there to stop the hop-up getting poked too far into the outer barrel by the movement of the gearbox nozzle... I lost one a while ago and replaced it with a much stiffer spring from a biro, but there's been no effect whatsoever as a result. I might pick up one of the madbull units next payday, but it's next to impossible for me to get over the 'if it ain't broken, don't fix it' theory...
