  1. I figured it'd be something along those lines; So am i right in thinking a brake reduces muzzle climb/recoil, and a flash-hider reduces the blast of flame at the muzzle to make it less visible? *edit* And somegirls - I'm so painfully jealous of the 2022. Does it shoot as good as it looks? I'm praying for a bonus this month, i'm considering a pair of them they look so damn pretty...
  2. Mine doesn't look nearly as good, but that took me literally less than 120 seconds. For lack of a better term, wrap some very fine sandpaper around the flash-hider, jack it off for a while, then burn it with the pointy bit of a lighter flame.
  3. Flash-hider It's some kind of compensator made by Knight's, which USCM and our other US friends probably know a huge amount more about than me, heh.
  4. Triple Tap Brake... i have no idea what it does or how it does it in the real steel world, but it looks cool.
  5. Put the TTB on my new AR; Much better
  6. Billy Bob, cheers for that; I've just done mine and it looks awesome. If it's any help to anyone, the tip of a Zippo flame coats everything in carbon in seconds, maybe the fuel makes it more 'carbony'? I'll get a picture up when i get me hands on the camera. *edit* That was quick...
  7. I'd bet a testicle it's an out the box G&P/Magpul Sentry, either AEG or WOC, and it needs the ladders trimming a bit
  8. Ahhh i meant it looked kinda like it'd stop the MBUS from flipping up, but on second glance it looks like they clear it. I got a pack of ACM XTM's (8 of each colour), and i'm quite liking the FG/OD combination. I've got the black ones on the bottom rail 'n all. They're a right PITA to remove though! Maybe do half DE half OD? Would look good with the DE PEQ i reckon.
  9. Tis nice... The mis-matched colours look kinda cool; is the PEQ not blocking the front sight, or is that just camera angle?
  10. Done Thinking about a KAC TTB, but i don't really know if it needs it... I'm quite happy with the looks as it is. It also weighs about as much as Madonna's self respect, so i'd really rather not make it any heavier.
  11. It has a made up KAC body, so i'm allowed to ###### it
  12. Not quite the MRP, but this arrived this evening.... Optics, tac lights and VFG's can suck my nuts, i love how this thing looks at the moment. Considering all the Magpul bits are ACM, i'm thoroughly impressed - The friction lock on the CTR doesn't really do an awful lot, but it doesn't bother me. I can't believe it's taken me this long to discover how much fun XTM camo is! Did i just say XTM camo is fun? No wonder i'm not getting laid...
  13. Be warned it's hella fiddly - There's 4 nuts and bolts that go through the bottom of the battery tubes on the stock. You have to remove these, get one side of the battery in place, feed the other half through, connect the wires up, put the 2nd cover on, screw it all together, and hope and pray the wiring doesn't get trapped while adjusting the length of the stock. I have to say, i only had that problem with my KA VLTOR VIS, the G&P is actually quite good for not trapping wires - But be careful when adjusting the length to be on the safe side.
  14. What front end are you using? I can safely tell you G&P M733 guards are the same length as G&P M4 guards, should that be any help - I had M4 handguards on my G&P M733, both sets fitted perfectly with no movement.
  15. *edit* frikkin' DP, my bad.
  16. Standard crane stock batteries go in it dude - Up to a 9.6 1500 fits. Bit of a PITA to get it in and out though, a Lipo in the tube is definitely easier, but a NimH crane type will fit. They're fitted with small tamiya's in the UK though, not sure if that's the same for the US. (answering on behalf of Jack, i've seen said gun many a time)
  17. That's a fair point, they do make it look a little nicer - Ideally with a strip of gaffa tape around them for added awesomeness. And cheers! I'll be whoring it all over this thread once it turns up, as well as reviewing it. All after i've finished cuddling it, obviously.
  18. I'm pretty sure they are M4 guards... From my understanding quite a lot of the earlier carbines were a bit of a mish-mash of parts, so i dunno if it's incorrect to the original... Still, on a gun that nice, who cares? Also - MY FRIKKIN' MRP ARRIVES ON SATURDAY. I'm so happy i might cry.
  19. I can't deny the grip is original... out of place, but definitely unique
  20. M727 is win. AK pistol grip on AR15 is rape of the eyes.
  21. That does indeed look pretty awesome - Nice 36 'n all. AFG definitely suits it.
  22. Gah, that's a PITA... Last time i had my card cloned, they still wiped my bank account out despite it only containing £4.82. *suitcases*! Might be worth ringing LWA tomorrow, i'm sure they can probably find a way of taking paypal or some other method... I'm guessing it'd work out pricier from WGC after the shipping and everything if it's just a F/H you're after. I'm just hoping LWA have more than one, as that's what's going on my new build It certainly looks the nuts.. From what i hear they seem pretty good these days - looking forward to the review! What's the included magazine like, an
  23. Cheers - It's still waiting on a couple of bits, but i'm trying to keep it fairly simple. If it helps, LandWarrior have TTB's in clockwise and anti clockwise in stock at the moment - £19.49 i think. What are the G&P GBB's like? I'm really tempted by a GBBR, and a G&P would be the preffered choice - How likely am i to be replacing parts every weekend? I don't mind the occasional new bit, but i don't wanna have to gut the thing and replace half of it to get it skirmishable. How's yours holding up?
  24. Damn nice rifle, but the silencer does make it look a little elongated... Halo or an OPS to shroud some of the barrel maybe? Anyhoo, my current work in progress - Should be with me on tuesday G&P DD 7" lite rail, marine body, buffer tube and gearbox, 10.5" outer barrel, low profile gas block. ACM OD CTR, OD and black XTM's, black MBUS sights and genuine black MOE grip. Haven't decided what flash-hider i'm gonna use yet.. I may also chuck some OD ladders on it, and i'm praying Fire Support will have an AFG left on Friday - used one last sunday and it really does fit
  25. On the subject of UBR's, i hear you need to remove the whole damn thing to change a lipo in the stock tube - Is this correct, and is removing said UBR a lot of work? I love the look and the concept, but if it requires dismantling half the gun to replace the battery i think i'll give it a miss.
