The flow valve on the actual magazine. I thought the valve wasn't opening due to weak hammer spring or too much pressure inside the magazine. Turns out the o ring was deformed and not allowing the valve to open freely when struck.

First time I fielded the gun i could not get it to work. It seemed like i was getting light strikes, as i was using propane and it was fairly hot. I emptied gas on mag, filled with a small amount of green gas and had the same issue. I removed the flow valve and noticed one of the o rings was completely mangled, it was almost flat like a washer. If you stand up the valve vertical with the impact portion facing up, the oring on the bottom was the bad one (the one that seals the valve). It seems like they've addressed some QC issues since i was able to adjust my hop up wheel with no problems. I have to admit i was not a big fan of WE before, but after handling some of their newer models i'm impressed. I've had my share of pistols, TMs, KJWs, KSC, and KWAs, but for 95 bucks i thought it was a good buy.

I just got mine last week. It definitely looks and feels good. The action is nice and snappy and is one of my favorite pistols to shoot. Accuracy is horrible even at 5M. I tested it with stock bucking, barrel, propane, and bioshot .30g and got 2" (5cm) groupings. Chrono gave me fairly steady 315 fps with .20g. The hop up wheel worked fine. I'm going to test to see if it works with the nineball gas route seals for a 226. And maybe throw in a nineball bucking or a maple leaf, as i haven't decided yet. I just got my v1+ bolt. I haven't installed it yet but i noticed the hole in that the charging handle pole goes through is not alligned. IE the top portion of the piston cup and the back part of the bolt do not properly allign. What is the best way to reallign them? Seems like the piston is not centered. . 1)Loosen piston screw, asseble bolt competely. Tighten the piston screw. 2)Leave it alone because thats the way it came from t-hum

Thum will stanag mags be compatible with ranger plates?

In addition to those mag conversions maybe draft up some better gas route seals? I know there are a lot of gimmicks out there for airsoft that don't do anything but i swear by these in my pistols. I've tested multi mags in different conditions and have always had better results with these. Its slow at work today so here's another question. Has anyone done any tests regarding fps consistancy and barrel length? I know with any gas gun longer barrel = higher fps (to a certain extent). As there is more volume for the gas to expand the higher the fps. If there is a longer barrel, and gas expansion is effected by temperature. Wouldn't a longer barrel lead to more fps variance as there is as the bb is essentially subjected to the variable gas expansion longer? IE simply put: FPS = Gas Expansion * Duration (length of barrel) Wouldn't decreasing duration the bb is subje

+1 for mag conversion kits with higher bb count. I think even 40 would be a blessing. Another idea regarding reloading mags. I'm still using the tube and plunger technique, I know if you enlarge the hole to the magazine cap you can just use a speed loader directly into it. I've tried it and actually ended up cracking the cap as the hole was weakened due to the removed material. How about something similar to the cap they have now but just with a bigger reinforced hole to allow use with speed loader without modification?

7 mags personally. Conversion would be nice =). On another note, i've had my KJW for 2 years and used exclusively for first year. I now switch out with aeg's depending on scenario. Since the LM4 has come out i've seen a lot more interest among my friends about purchasing a GBBR. Two of my friends opted getting a LM4 just because they couldn't find a KJW m4s anywhere stateside. Didn't thum show some pics of a prototype pmag where he was able to just use standard pmag shells? Its not the ugly magazines that i hate. They are the most durable gas mags i've seen on the market, still have my original 7 mags for 2+ years with no issues. I hate the compatability with pouches =(

I vote for pmags or regular stanags!

For those that have the cradle airsoft v1+ bolt what were the fps tests? I've already purchased a complete set but was curious what how much better the consistency is with the cradle bolt. Are there any other benefits?

Different hop up units?

So i did a total over haul on my kjw a couple days ago. Jp front kit, modified length falcon barrel, installed a new piston that Thum sent me. While i was switching out the parts i realized that my floating valve spring was smaller than i imagined. I took it out and it was a good inch shorter than a spare one i had. I swapped it out and noticed a jump in fps. Now i'm shooting at 400 with cradles VR with no spacers just an oring. Not only that but i'm not having any more sluggish bolt action issues. I didn't have time to fully test out the new falcon hop up, single nub. It worked a little better than the normal one. Both hop ups had shrink wrap mod (didn't change between the two, just swapped out bucking.) I wouldn't say its worth it to purchase it, just stick with the normal one. I haven't had a change to test the fps difference, but it does seem like there is a better seal. On another note i purchased a magpul BAD lever and it works flawless. I didn't have to do a single modification, took less than 30 seconds to install. After this weekend i'll chime in with more falcon hop up

Never, thats why i'm so confused, and i live in southern CA so its not like i'm playing in freezing temps.

I have also not experienced any mag leak issues. I've been using my kj as my primary for over 10 months without leakage. Every month or so i empty out all the gas and put some silicone oil in the valve and open and close the valve a bunch of times. I've been running straight propane. I use my kj every sunday for 4-8 hours, my mags have gone through hell and still work. Only problem i've ever had is the lube in my piston doesn't seem to stay. I'm not sure if this has been covered but installation of the hop up should be tested as well. I purchased the falcon hop up from redwolf and it fit perfect. I'll post up findings when i get to test them at range. When i was installing the outer barrel, i noticed it took a couple tries to have the hop up arm seated right before turning the dial made any difference. If the hop up was engaged in anything other than 0 and i slid the outter barrel assembly in the hop up would not adjust. I'm using coleman propane, and adding about 5-6 drops of airsoft innovations gbb oil. I use apply super lube to the piston cup and to the oring.

i can't seem to keep lube in the piston. I'll lube it up with super lube and by the end of the day, the gun is shooting dry and sluggish, i've tried other o ring safe lubes and still no dice. I'm not shooting a ridiculous amount i'm talking about maybe shooting through 10 mags throughout the day, none on full auto. I am using propane and using adding lube to the propane each fill for each mag. I'm using the cradle piston and velocity reducer.
