  1. "A knife is the most expensive and least effective prybar you will ever own" Stands true again. Saying that, I know of one guy who cut through the roof of a car using his Strider AR (spear-point liner-lock folder) to reach someone trapped inside. The knife didn't give an inch. Was that that Cliff Stamp guy who broke that knife, by the way? He got called out as an asshat for trying to claim on Strider's warranty when he broke the tip off his BT while 'testing it' by hacking through a breeze block. Idiot. Strider told him where to stick it, and that he was taking the p*ss. Rightly
  2. Oh come on. I have enough trouble finding Short BDUs/DCUs/ACUs. Don't rub it in. I am NOT short though. >:3
  3. Uh huh. You just can't see them, because they're inside the trousers. Thanks man. Pocky is the snack of the gods. Yep, that was me. ACU and CIRAS. It was Fireball '06, though. Wait a sec. There's popular belief that I'm not short?!
  4. Not even my house, mate EDIT: Lol OPSEC on uncle's house lol
  5. Somehow, these seemed a good idea at the time... "I LIKE COOOOOOOOKE!" The money shot. "Yay!" Pure Pwnage.
  6. The SWAT team site he linked to in the first post of this page. EDIT: Fixed.
  7. I still can't fathom that SWAT team's site. Are they taking the p*ss with the SWAT theme? Or is it the coolest damn thing ever? Or both?
  8. Well, I've not seen any pics of EOD units using Aimpoints on their rifles - they seem to either use short-dot scopes or EOTechs. That said, that doesn't mean they don't use them, just that they're presumably not very popular. What's the flash-hider? It looks a bit funky, and ideally you'd have a regular M4 flash-hider on there.
  9. Nice semi-EOD style Carbine, there Love the M14 SOPMOD as well. Clumsy, poorly designed and very impractical, but still oh so beautiful.
  10. Good point on chickenwings, although I've seen some guys shooting like that before now, both in the UK and US forces. Some just prefer it, I guess, and take to it once they leave training. I guess if said advisor had been shooting like that for however many years, he'd probably advise as such just because.
  11. Lol. That wouldn't suprise me at all. Remember the walking legs in episode 1?
  12. Looking again, I think you might be right. Those are definately the pics I was thinking of, though (the top 3). Ah well, looks like my memory failed me again. Doesn't disprove the use of FSBE AAVs by Army SF though. Stephen (101st Abn.) used one as a private purchase, as has been said, and I'd not bet against other guys using them. Oh yeah, as a sort-of aside, I remember the 'generic SF' guys in the TV show 'Over There' using FSBEs (which caught my eye straight away). Authenticity in these programs is often lacking, but to go through the trouble of getting Tan FSBE AAVs, they must
  13. Catch, you beautiful b*stard Thank you, those are the ones
  14. I've looked through the pics I have on my Mac and I can't find them. I KNOW they exist, since I was fascinated by them back when I found them. I have a feeling they're on my PC, but that's pretty dead right now, so there's little chance of getting them off my PC HDD in the near future. I doubt the FSBE AAVs were issued, but I'd imagine they were private purchase. It's not that unlikely. If I remember correctly the photos were of 5th SFG guys, and they've been seen using all sorts of kit. Heute, +1 on Stephen. I remember that.
  15. Do the pistol mag pouches not get in the way there, Razor? I've always wanted to try a rig with a bib-mounted pistol, though.
  16. Yeah, and maybe I and others missed it. So sorry.
  17. Thought this might be interesting to those of y'all asking if you can use a Weesatch/Wasatch for this sort of loadout... I think they're Infantry not SF, but the point still stands - yes, you could use one
  18. It has been seen in use with a few other units before, including Army SF. I'll dig out the pics if and when I have the time/inclination. Which might be a while...
  19. Looks good Razor. Two things that caught my eye: 1 - The MICH chinstrap looks funky as. 2 - Can you access that pistol at all easily canted like that? I'd have thought a drop-leg would have cleared the rig much better, and it needn't ride too low.
  20. I've been told before that it's ok. I'll do a little more looking into it, but I'm sure the pack I used last time was bigger than that...
  21. They are worth every single penny, my good man And you're too late SS, sounds like they won't make any more in UE Grey. That's what you get for owning an SnG! Hah!
  22. Never been too keen on the Tan colour. Always looked wrong to me. You're only missing a UE Grey one, but you ain't having mine!
