yeah, dont ask me why but the first production run of new stuff is nearly always made in temperate, even though we are fighting 2 wars in the desert! Army logic sucks. I guess the material is more plentiful or something. Darkchild -

well my unit is getting them this year but thats mainly because we are part of spearhead and as such have gone up in the priority list for kit issue. The rest of the infantry will probably end up getting them next year. I wouldnt be surprised if units in Iraq/Afghan already have them in desert variety. Darkchild -

found this yesterday, from when we were doing some shooting, pre Telic 10. note how the guy next to me treats his rifle far too roughly, and gets ridiculed for it. (him and the cameraman hate each other) Darkchild

Track bashing is where you have to put your tank track back on after it has fallen off (or change the track pads) which is made of extremely heavy steel links. This involves letting all the grease out of the rear ram, breaking the track by un screwing the nut and knocking the track pin out. You then work the track apart, drag the whole thing over the support rollers, then with a lot of vehicle wiggling, get the thing to catch onto the front drive sprocket. You then have clamp the track back together, find the mating angle (which is the fun part, as the link will only join back together at a -

Get issued as many bombs as you can, then stuff them in any pouch with a space. They now issue a 40mm bomb bandolier which generally gets chopped to bits and attached to your LBE in various ways, the most popular being cable tying it onto your osprey loops. Darkchild -

lol, me too! I was going to make one this weekend. Darkchild -
as your loadout is imitating a Brit squad in the field, dont wear twisters at all. Tie your drawstrings low and loose over your boots to look more authentic. And tuck the excess scrim material into your jacket, dont have it flapping about the back. Also, you could do with green taping all your loose webbing straps plus your helmet adjustment straps.
