billymak
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/factual/chinese_in_britain.shtml Now, starting this kind of thread even in off topic would either attract spam or "sink" to page 3 by the time the market close, but I do feel that these guys have really done a good job documenting such an informative series. I've always thought it was all takeaway with the indians and what-nots in the 60s... and CHRIST, not ALL of us are takies? It's going to be ten episodes~ So grab a cuppa, some biscuits and put your feet up. I usually go through it all at once, but they haven't realised the last 4-5 Also... They seem to have tuned violins to play along with the Chinese Er-Hu [two stringed fiddle], not a very clever "choon" but a fancy little idea.

mcnuggets
Takeaways, LOL! What a word. I live in a heavily Chinese and Korean section here. Not all of them own Chinese resturants. Not even a good number of them do. Must be different over in the UK.
