GuzziHero
Ive bought a CA XM177. Battery arrived today, a 9.6v unit made up of 4/5ths AF size cells. I know its meant to go in the foregrip but I dont know how it can! Its just way too big to fit. Im obviously doing something wrong here. Can anyone help? Thanks.
liquidflorian
I had the same problem at a game last weekend. I felt like a 'tard, some one else got a battery in it; although I don't know how.....
Miker
Even 8.4v's are kinda big.
GuzziHero
I am in total freaking despair here. Ive even taken the silver rod out the top to try and get one half of the battery in the top and one in the bottom. No go. GRAAAAAAAAAGH!
GuzziHero
Right, mini battery cells. Are they A size or AF? I have a 9.6v mini and the cells are smaller than this 4/5ths AF one. Have I got the wrong thing? Edit: Aaaaah, monkey poo. Looks like AF means A-Fat - larger diameter? Either way, this must be the wrong battery
Miker
Is it a solid 9.6v? Like two rows of 4 all attached to each other? If it is, it's probably a bit to fat near the front... So I'm pretty certain a nun-chuck would solve your problems.
GuzziHero
No, its a nunchuck using this config where T resembles the Terminal: T XX XX XX XX ||| XX XX XX XX The cells are too long and too wide to fit into the stock. I have a possible solution - I have an 8.4 mini that I never use, it came with an LPHP gun. Im dissecting it to see if 4 cells would fit each side. If so, I can dissect my 9.6v Intellect to make it into a nunchuck Edit: No go. Looks like Ill have to order a pack made up of AAs. AF cells are 17mm diameter, AA are 15, and even a block of 4 AFs wont go in. This is utter madness, surely airsoft vendors should have the god damn courtesy to tell you what size of bloody battery you need? Im furious Another little rant...Im grateful that CA use good springs to hold the delta ring in place. But its like wrestling a freaking eel trying to get the foregrips in an out. My fingers are aching from fighting that bloody ring.
liquidflorian
Yeah, I just spoke with a friend of mine who worked for AEX, and yeah it takes a "slim nun-chuck and it's a beotch". Direct quote....
