Handsome Pete
Having played at a couple of sites with general airsoft players my team are looking into finding a milsim site. We are very much hi cap haters and enjoy the use of realistic tactics, lower caqpacity magazines etc. Being based just outside London we don't want to to travel hundreds of miles (but will if a train ride is accessible to the site). CQB, Woodland or Urban we don't mind as our armoury and tactics can vary/are diverse. Any info be really useful. Ive searched the airsoftmap site but the list is long and not as useful as it could be. Cheers.
mr eagle
Quite a few sites run milsim days as its not everyones cup of tea so maybe ask your local sites. Also if you are using proper tactics you should never really be at real disadvantage. I always play with mid/locaps and have never found a situation where the hicaps gave the other team a massive advantage.

Well, my site does milsim with locaps, but it also has the addition of plot eg: each mission's outcome has an impact on the ongoing story development. It is also loosely inspired by Stargate and the X-Files ie: conspiracy, double-dealing end of the world apocalypse. Here is the URL to our website: http://www.thefightschool.demon.co.uk/CONTACT.htm Enjoy
Ubar
http://iedairsoft.co.uk/ Proper milsim. It is a long way from you, but people in the past have travelled from the West Country, Scotland, Kent etc and I regularly go down from North Yorkshire because it is worth it
Janno
You just missed an awesome A2 Tactical Sunday at Electrowerks in London. Non-winding mags, complex objectives, full tactical briefings, 3-storey CQB environment. We did away with the usual regen rules and instead put in a medic rule - it made the games a lot more realistic, and really helped to reinforce the "high-stakes" mentality that a lot of milsimmers enjoy. We also made the games a lot more organic by using the radios to relay changes in objectives - for instance, a specfor team had to raid an IED factory, steal some explosives, plant them in the main lab, and kidnap the bomb-maker. Just as they were about to plant the explosives, the bomb-maker made a run for the exit (scripted) with some bodyguards, and the specfor were suddenly instructed to abort the destruction of the lab, and assassinate the bomb-maker before he escaped from the roof via helicopter. The next one's scheduled to be in January - you can check the gamedates on www.firefight.co.uk
