Parts changed, gears where swapped for Systema high speed ( flat ), shimed acording to the instructions ( was spot on before any one says anything ) and one Systema (Magnum) Turbo motor.

 

Outcome, well the first use was fine, it held out till the auto wind mag died on the user.

 

2nd skirmish, lasted best part of the morning then a almighty screach from the gb and the gun jams.

 

Inspection and the pinion gear is well chewed, the bevel gear on the other hand as a few minor marks but nothing serious.

 

Question is, what is this down to /

 

Improper motor height ajustment ?, bevel gear shimmed wrong ? or just that the pinion gear on the motor is poor or a combanation of all three ?

I'd say its more or less a problem of the poor quality metal that Systema used in making their pinion gears. Buy a new one and you'll be fine. remember that you will have to readjust motor height as well.

Yep, the pinions on the magnum and turbo motors aren't realy all that good. Aftermarket pinion should set you right.
