my_plague_666
im looking to install a Guarder FTK in an AK74 and wondered which spring i should use. the kit comes with an M120 which is obviously too high. so what spring would i be able to achive 330 fps (or thereabouts) with if i ran it with an element .04 tightbore? just wondered because im sure someone said that their springs are a tad higher rated than others and that guarder bearing spring guides have an effect on FPS, so would an M90 do the trick? and about the motors part, im not after a godly ROF, just something pretty fast and smooth. i heard that G&P (i think) motors are a nice cheaper alternative to the new systemas, can anyone confirm that it is G&P and/or recomend a decent motor? fryxharry
Well if you have a way to measure fps, then I suggest you buy a guarder SP90 and a SP100. The latter should give around 320fps, but this depends heavily on the rest of the gun. So just try the SP100 out, and if the gun does more than 320fps, change to the SP90. tiff_lee
G&P 120 motor gets my thumbs up, what battery you going to be using? My SPR had the stock spring in just over forum limits and on a 9.6V had a very impressive ROF.

damage552
You should also check out the Guarder High Speed motor. Its around $35 from HK sites, and it is comparable to a Systema Turbo. The Guarder also has much better pinion gear than the Systema.
tiff_lee
I can't vouch for the guarder motor but I can say the turbo standard pinion is garbage as many others no doubt agree.
cderamos
I have a Guarder Revolution in my TM M4.. it went from 18-21rps with the EG1000 to 28-29rps with the Revolution both on 10.8v with no MOSFET. If I switch the gun to deans and MOSFET it'll probably go up 1-2rps. Best $45 speed upgrade I bought.
Carter
http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filnavn=/a...pring_guide.htm That should help answer the question about spring strength.
