Ming
Been trying to fit a wood kit to me AK47. I've succeeded with the stock, pistol grip and upper foregrip but damned if I can figure out how to get the lower foregrip off. I've followed the upgrade guide here and on the DVD guides and got the front barrel assembly off but I still can't see how to get the lower foregrip off. Can anyone assist? MDK_Marshal
Remove the screw(s) holding the gas assembly in place, and slide it forwards. The lower foregrip should come off. That's assuming it uses the same method as a marui/CYMA AK... And I see no real reason for it not to.
tamaneko
had to take the whole thing including the front barrel assembly before the lower receiver would come off on my Cyma, you'd probably have to do the same thing too.
Ming
Thanks guys but I'm still stuck - I've removed the screws as shown in the thumbnail below but still with no joy. What am I missing here?
zentaurus
you don't need to unscrew the fake gas tube weight. 1) remove the cleaning rod by lifting it out of its notch and then up (or down in your pic ) 2) then unscrew the screw underneath the gas tube block 3) you should then be able to slide the gas block assembly and the lower handguard along the barrel toward the front sight, IIRC that fake gas tube weight, btw, just fits into the gas tube front -- no screws. hope that helps, zT
Svack
they can be a bit stiff, mine was the first time I removed it, so you may have to help it off with a flathead screwdriver
