junior
Thanks for the pics. It's a shame no one ever came out with a metal kit for the older version, and so far theres no news of an aftermarket metal kit for this version either.
Lupus78
Fortunately the plastic outer barrel seems to be molded well and there's no ugly seams etc. visible. And the surface looks very convincing besides the metal slide, so only the racking sound and dissassembly will tell its true nature. What I heard is that KSC chose this plastic path since they've had problems with jamming the guns with chipped away aluminum from metal barrels. Or something like that. So with plastic/polymer (whatever) there's no such problems. Hopefully there will be some aftermarket outer barrels if these guns gain popularity. It should, since this is a REALLY nice gun. thepunisher
Hi Lupus, Can you please check on your KSC P226, whether: 1. The hammer bounces back-and-forth a little bit when you dry-fire (no gas) it from a cocked/hammer back position. 2. After you press the trigger (again, dry fire), don't release the trigger and hold it at the most rearward position; does your hammer have an inward play toward the slide? 3. Try to dry fire twice with the muzzle of the pistol toward ground. Does the hammer function after the 1st pull of the trigger? Thank you very much.
Lupus78
I already PM'd the answers since you asked them also by PM. But here's for anyone else reading this. 1. Yes, it bounces. 2. Yes 3. No, it doesn't unless I return the gun in horizon level.
