machinebear
I am looking for a kydex holster for my RWA Nighthawk 1911 preferably from one of the top RS brands like bladetech or safariland. I was wondering if the replica has the exact dimension as the real steel, and if that is important for 1911 to fit properly in a RS kydex holster. As far as glocks, I know only KSC which is a true 1:1 replica can fit in RS holster whereas TM and TM clones are too wide to fit.
WTF?Shane
I've noticed the TM and KJW 1911s are a little tight in my holsters.
BigAl
For such a nice expensive gun I'd look at a nice leather holster to protect the finish.
renegadecow
If you'll be holstering/unholstering it frequently even a top grain lined leather holster will cause wear with use, but more of fade it from constant rubbing instead of scraping from hard plastic. That said, there are lined hard holsters as well but are usually custom. Also, there are models of hard holsters where you can adjust tightness, but in general, TM spec 1911s are just about true to real specs.
