Arnie Posted August 4, 2005 Report Share Posted August 4, 2005 The avatar uploading rules haven't been changed that recently. Off-site avatars may well be disabled (haven't checked) but that'll be because there's no need to host elsewhere. If you want to upload an animated avatar that's the wrong size, why not resize it in something like Adobe Imageready or similar that allows you to do so? Also it's worth noting that uploaded avatars might not look right on your PC if your browser caches the old avatar. It's a bit of a bug in IE that assumes that the image you uploaded is the same as the one on the site as when you upload your avatar it always takes the same name on the server.
