DarkLite
Woo! MY G3SAS is upgraded! Ok then. I've just performed my first upgrade (before I had always sent it to a shop) where I put in a BIG spring, a G&P Polycarb Piston, a G&P polycarb piston head, and some Metal brushings. I checked various guides on how to upgrade etc etc as I was doing this. Everything went smoothly and the gun works nicely, BUT: In semi, the trigger stays back after the shot, and must be pushed forwards again manually. In FA, it only does this when firing a single shot, but bursts seem fine. Oddly, I know that the selector switch/trigger assembly is fine, as without a battery int the gun, the trigger works as it should (goes back to forewards position) in semi and full. I also made sure the gear timing was correct, and that the anti-reversal latch was in position. What's happened?
Misfit
You've lost your trigger spring.
Chrissyg
??? How come it returns in FA then?
cazboab
I also made sure the gear timing was correct, and that the anti-reversal latch was in position. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just to let you know, thats a load of old ######s, and doesn't exist.
Hissing_Sid
??? How come it returns in FA then? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cos the trigger contacts are spring loaded. In full-auto they stay pressed in while the trigger is pulled and push the trigger back when you let go of it. In semi-auto the trigger-disconnect arm flips the trigger contacts up out of the way of the trigger. Thus leaving no spring pressure to push the spring backwards.
DarkLite
Thanks people. Cracked the GB open again, and found that the trigger spring had just slipped out of place. Works perfectly now.
