The_One_Free_Man
I'm considering buying a large pack of 0.25's. I'm just wondering... How much further do they go than 0.20's? How much more stable and straight are they too? My hop-up is fixed for 0.25 though I'v always fired 0.20.s. Is the range that much more?
jordan2139
Anyone know how much of a FPS decrease it would be to use .25 insted of .2?
No Mercy
really depends on many things including what spring ur using, which won't matter much if ur using a forum limited spring, anything over that u cant talk about, but i will say that the fps decrease gets larger
Glenn
I only use .25s. In my USA style upgraded guns, the performance is much better, I can hit what I aim at to a much farther range. Even in stock guns, though, I get better usable range and accuracy from .25s. You can approximate your loss of velocity by using conservation of energy. .5m(1)v(1)^2 = .5m(2)v(2)^2 Solve for v(2) v(2) = sqrt[{m(1)v(1)^2}/m(2)] m(1) and v(1) are your current BB mass and velocity, say 328 and .2g. m(2) is your new BB mass, say .25g. Your new velocity should be ABOUT 295ft/s. This a real rough way to do it, becuase based on your particular gun and chrono arrangement, there are a lot of variables to account for. Make sure you keep your units straight, and plug in your numbers.
