Fuser
I received my CA36K about a week ago from RedWolf, and it had no probems out of the box. Just today, however, I was looking at the stock and noticed that the seam along the top and bottom of the stock looks as though it is coming apart. If I apply pressure to the end of the stock, the gap in the seam gets even wider, about 1 cm at widest. Is there any way to fix this besides buying a new stock? Would RedWolf replace it if I sent them pictures or something? Thanks for any help, R
fwskateboard
well, i KNOW classic army G36 series is good enough build not to do that. so mabey if you sent them pics it would work. butelectric tape works too if your desperate
staticzero
You have recently purchased a brand new gun from a reliable retailer that has a clear defect. The right thing to do here is to contact them and get it replaced.
Fuser
I wrote RedWolf's customer sercive dpt. a few hours ago. I'm still waiting for a reply, probably I'll get one by tomorrow. @ staticzero: Do you think that I should demand that they replace the whole gun, or just the stock?
staticzero
Nah, just the stock. Unless there's something wrong with the rest of the gun? Besides, you'll likely have to pay to ship it back (and shipping the stock will be waaaaay cheaper than shipping the whole gun back).
Fuser
Unless there's something wrong with the rest of the gun? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, nothing's wrong with the gun, only the stock. And as an edit, I would like to say that the gap is actually more like 1mm, not 1 cm. Even though it bugs me, I might just try to look past it...
AdamLazzara
I had this problem. Mine came from the gun falling when my sling broke. I wasnt able to send it back, but Redwolf was able to help me find a solution: Black electrical tape.

demon.b
If you don't want to exchange the stock, have you considered gluing it? Put some super glue in the gap and squeeze it until it sets. See if that does the trick.
rtrdpenguin
Some SIG 550 stocks have a similar problem, just squeeze a bit of glue in the gap, squeeze the gap shut, and wipe off the glue fast so it doesn't leave any white stuff on your stock.
AdamLazzara
Found the pic of my G36 taped up. It actually doesn't look half bad, of course I go crazy with tape but who doesn't? Especially when it's electrical or worse... Duct tape

Fuser
I agree though, looks like you wrapped it in a trash bag <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Exactly why I don't want to do it. Does anyone have a pic of the bottom of their G36's stock? I just want to check if my stock is actually supposed to have this little gap.
