phoenix360mute
het people, i was considering making a second mgs3 1911, but i dont want one as costly as the first, so for starters, i dont want a metal frame, which makes gives the base gun alot more options i was thinking of using a mark IV series 80 CQB, as this already has the right grip safety, and a ring hammer, which means i dont need to do a half the modifications that i did for the first one, but whats the difference between the series 70 and 80, i'm asking becase the base gun for the origional mgs 1911 was a series 70 any help would be appreciated
maccrage
I do believe that most changes were internal. The 80 introduced the , in my opinion, utterly useless firing pin safety.
phoenix360mute
is that just real steal, or airsoft aswell?
maccrage
RS. I don't think that there were any external changes. Nice pics of a RS Series 80.
phoenix360mute
i have just been told theres a slide lenght diffence, can anyone confirm
maccrage
From what I've read, the dimensions are the same. Just a few internal mods were made for the 80. I don't know if the same goes for the airsoft versions though.

snowman
I've reviewed the WA Series 70 and Series 80 on my website, but, as said before, the REAL gun difference was an internal safety mechanism to stop the gun firing if dropped. If you want to see what the differences of the WA models is, my website's probably got what you need (even if I say so myself ) Cheers.

maccrage
Yup. Unless you get the Commander version. That's the compact.
