M4 mags in a CA36...

Is it possible to modify a Classic Army 36K to hold M4/M16 mags? I know it is a possible mod on a FAMAS, I was just wondering if it's the same deal with a G36.

 

Also, is the magwell on a G36 similar to that of a FAMAS? If so, could I just follow the steps from that mod? I have a feeling they're totally different, though.

I don't think this can be done at all as the mags are a different width. You would have to cut a whole in the rear and it would be ugly.

Well, I know this isn't much use to you, but it is possible on the real steel G36 variants, so it wouldn't be out of place on an airsoft G36 variant (I've been looking to do this for a while, just haven't actually done any research etc )

I've been wanting to do it forever bc some ppl I know have M4's and M16's (along with everyone else on the planet ) so it would be really nice to be able to use their mags if I needed one. Also, when (if?) the SCAR comes out, it's possible that it will be able to take M4 mags, and I'll be incredibly jealous.

The scar will take M4/M16 mags. But AFAIK There is no way to mod a G36 (airsoft) to take M4 mags, everything is different from mag wells to where the bb's feed from.

The mag well size I could probably modify, but bb's feeding from different places will probably kill this idea...

There is a real steel conversion to make G36/SL8 series guns M16 mag friendly, but I think you'd have a hell of a time getting it to work on an airsoft G36.
